This was one of my family's overall favorite parts to visiting Jekyll Island. We went when the Christmas lights were out and it was beautiful. We really loved hearing the history behind all the cottages. I highly recommend taking the carriage tour.

Excellent experience. Great welcoming process, we watched the video in a Vance so the paperwork was minimal. We were quickly able to get helmets that fit and spent a little time brushing the horses and getting used to them before the ride. The ride was easy for my son since it was his first time and Bradley our guide was very patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the group ride for folks that are not experienced riders.

A fun horseback riding experience on the beach in Jekyll Island! The horses at Three Oaks Carriage and Trail are well kept and for the most part, well behaved. One very large horse got loose and went running down the beach wildly at one point without a rider scaring the other horses. That was a little unnerving, but they were able to regain control, thankfully. As we know, animals can be unpredictable. Helmets are optional for teens and adults. The ride is very family friendly and reasonably priced for an hour ride. It's great for young kids too. Check them out for something active to do in Jekyll Island! Their online reservation option is easy to use. Make sure to watch their safety video prior to the ride, especially if you are an inexperienced rider.

My family and I went on a carriage tour with Tammy and Voodoo through historic Jekyll Island today and it was amazing! Tammy was very knowledgeable about the history. The ride was about 45 minutes and did not feel rushed at all. This was a great way to be introduced to the history and beauty of Jekyll Island! I am excited to come back some time and try the trail rides they offer around the island!

We loved this experience. We did the first ride of the day which was slated to begin at 8:30 but we didn’t depart until well after 9. Little chaotic at the beginning but the ride/experience made up for all that. The trail you ride on to the beach is perfect and the horses are well trained so no worries there. The group behind us had a 4 year old riding by himself and that went fine. Little pricey for an hour but I would recommend it.

We went on a historic evening carriage tour with Tammy as our guide. She was awesome!! She was very knowledgeable and made the history fun to learn. The historic district is plain beautiful. Watching the sunset on the ride was gorgeous. The tour is about 45 minutes long, and I believe it is well-priced for the experience. I would absolutely recommend doing this during your time on Jekyll Island.

After hearing that my husband and I had done a couple of the tours of Jekyll Island my Mom really wanted to see the historical houses on Jekyll but due to her declining health she is unable to bike or walk so as we were arriving at the island to show them around today I booked us all a carriage ride for a few hours later. We were tickled to see the Cinderella Carriage waiting. It was decorated for Christmas and the other carriage was having a wheel repaired so we got a cute upgrade. My 10 year old nephew said he had a fun time but was "completely embarrassed to be in Cinderellas Carriage with my Grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle...its weird"
So cute. My Parents had a good time, my Mom was very engaged with the stories the driver was telling us. The history you learn is so neat! It was a great time watching my family enjoying themselves, this is a tough time as we await test results for cancers my Mom may have. This 45 minute ride was priceless to me. ♡

Family’s first time riding. Jen was amazing!!! The horses were gentle and well trained. We did the beach tour first thing in the morning and it was breathtaking! Plan to visit again.
