We've worked with South Eden and its wonderful employees and really couldn't say enough about the breathtaking property itself, the story of its recent renovation and the miraculous Ms. Kim, the commitment to keeping such an amazing place up to date without losing its historic charm... I could go on for days.

Beautiful venue, wonderful people, accommodating staff, and when you step onto the grounds it truly does feel like you've stepped into a completely different world 😍😍 highly recommend.

I booked a meeting with the wedding/event planner 3 months before the date, confirmed a week before. My daughter lives out of town and was home over the holiday. My husband, her fiance and the two of us arrived for a possible wedding ceremony and reception site meeting only to be told the wedding planner had a family emergency. Emergencies are understandable but her boss or secretary not letting us know ahead of time is not acceptable. We were shown the venue but the person taking us on the tour could not answer questions a wedding planner would know the answers to. After 1.5 weeks and not hearing from the owner or the wedding planner, I reached out. They did not care about loosing our business, our thoughts or concerns. Also, much of the venue needs work ... mold and mildew on screens, chipping paint on doors and walls, lights out or missing from around trees or where draped between buildings, rotting wood, weeds and ant mounds were everywhere. It was a huge disappointment and I would be very worried about South Eden hosting a wedding service and reception. I really wanted it all to work out!

My wife and I choose to celebrate our 39 th wedding anniversary here, spending the night in one of the cottages and treating ourselves to the seven course chef’s menus for dinner.
The grounds and facilities are beautiful and well kept. The service from our guide and hostess Jennifer was excellent. She really went above and beyond in ensuring a wonderful evening. Chef Durden prepared an excellent menu for us. The presentation and flavors were exciting and resulted in an evening to remember.

We just held my daughters wedding at South Eden and we LOVE the entire venue. Latonya was so fabulous and jumped every time we needed her from getting locked out of the rooms to needing a ride in the golf cart across the property or figuring out water heater situations (push button in room that states heat as they are tankless) to coming to the rescue when the rehearsal dinner was served in the venue by the stables and the AC was clogged and not working as we had about 60 guests. Lisa the new chef was AMAZING. I was not impressed with the food last Nov 2023 with the former chef but when I mentioned this to Lisa she went out of her way and even made a gluten free pasta dish with meatballs for the bride.
The only negative is the A/C maintenance with dirty filters in the rooms & public halls clogged A/C that the maintenance person should have checked at least monthly and cleaned the return the grills & change the black filters. Check your temperature at least a few hours before your events as there are not vents all around the rooms and when the venues doors are opened the cool air gets sucked out.
Also, the horses need to be switched to the pasture with grass as they are in pure dirt
The staff for the food serving, clean up & the bartender were wonderful and ON IT. I would recommend South Eden to others for events not just weddings

Beautiful property! Chapel where the ceremony took place is absolutely charming. Only saw one room in the accommodations, very small but with great bathroom.
Staff was lovely although did feel a little rushed to give up the glasswear towards the e d of the night because the "dishwasher is ready to go home" a bit awkward having to poor wine from glass to a plastic cup. Everything else was beautiful!

Today was a very exciting day for me to tour the beautiful grounds of South Eden as a potential wedding venue! However, I left very DISAPPOINTED. My appointment was at 3:00pm and upon arrival we were not greeted, and waited over an hour for Latoya to show us the venue. After my second phone call with Latoya to let her know we were there, she never showed for the appointment and after waiting a full hour we made a decision to leave. We drove over an hour to come tour South Eden & on the way home we never received a phone call from Latoya apologizing for her unprofessionalism or an explanation as to why we were treated that way. This was one of my top favorite venues & we would have loved to have our wedding at this beautiful property. However, due to the unprofessionalism I would never recommend South Eden to anyone!

I am still fighting with this place to have an almost $2000 credit card charge reversed. They charged me for the rooms of people I don’t even know. I went from agreeing to pay for one night for myself to an additional 1$962 for people who I don’t know, their response we’re looking into it, someone will call you. Of course they’re not concerned about it. They’ve been paid with my money for people I’m not traveling with. Their operations and logistics are the worst vaccine and some Time. I could not imagine trusting them to a large event of any importance.
