Calhoun Healthcare Center has made great changes over the last 9 months and we are excited about our future. We have hired new leadership, our staff are sharpening their skill set and we are recruiting daily. We have made some physical changes to the appearance of our facility and we will continue to make the necessary changes to ensure our residents are getting quality care and a great experience.

There is no perfect facility that I know of, however, I believe I work with group of compassionate and caring individuals who work tirelessly to care for our residents and who want to do their best. It’s NOT easy, but they press on. And so we congratulate those team members who go above and beyond, and we celebrate them. And for those who don’t, we part ways.

Calhoun is moving and shaking and we will continue to improve in areas of opportunity until we reach our goals.

Thank you to our residents and families members for partnering with us as we grow and make changes for the better. Thanks to our service providers who lock arms with us in caring for our residents; your support has been phenomenal. And last but not least, a big THANK YOU to ALL of our team members who show up and who are dedicated to the vision of change and excellence. You are greatly appreciated.

I have a loved one who has been there for 6 months. We have been happy with their care. The only thing is the food menu changes without notice and the food is sometimes not too good. Most of the staff has been attentive, engaged, and empathetic. We would recommend this facility to others.

First of all, I give this place ZERO Stars. I am seventy years old and I have NEVER seen a place in such poor condition, not to mention their employees that simply do not care. My sister-in-law was there for rehab after surgery on her leg she broke. I bet she didn’t have rehab five times in twenty-one days she was there. She was only approved for 21 Days and she still couldn’t walk without any assistance because they did not do their job they got paid for, for the therapy she was required. Then, to top that off, the room she was in , get this, “Had no bathroom”. Yes, no bathroom in the room. Their bathroom is in the hall that is used by visitors and employees. You would think there are laws that would make them have bathrooms in each room. Then, the employees, they are so nasty looking, they don’t care and their attitudes are unbelievable. If you DON’T care for your mother, father or a family member then I highly recommend this place. Put them there and let them be. But, if you care at all about your mother, father or family member then do not consider this place. They would be better off at home. This is my review of this place.

I wish I could give zero stars! If you care at all about your loved one you should not leave them at Calhoun Healthcare!! If the Director doesn't like your loved one she WILL make up and tell lies on your loved one if your loved one is able to walk and talk and leave their room she will lie to get the patient discharged!! Get rid of the Director and it would be a better place to leave your loved one! She told lies on my Dad he was sent to the hospital where he was over sedated for 3 weeks and he hasn't been the same since!! Zero Zero Zero stars!!

The absolute worst facility in the state! Multiple complaints to the facility and the State no results!! Pay attention to your loved one and stand up for them. NEGLECT!!!The Director of Nursing the Administrator to the nurses and CNA's should be held responsible.
