I wish I was leaving a better review. The room was nice and clean and the location is good, nothing sketchy. Unfortunately, upon arrival the person at the front desk was very aggressive about our service dogs/service dogs in training. Demanding “certifications” that do not exist and illegally asking about disabilities. It was only when we pulled up ADA and said that we would be filing a report that they gave us the room. Service handlers/trainers beware. To the staff, please educate yourselves on the ADA laws regarding service animals.

We made reservations with help from Sam, who was at the desk when we arrived. They are changing name to Spark and have renovated. Sam put us in a room that was excellent. One of my favorite things about this location is that all rooms are only accessible via main entrance only accessible to paying people! We will definitely stay there again next January.

We stayed for one night. Employees were nice. The breakfast consisted of muffins, fruit, yogurt, etc. The room was spacious for the four of us. The beds were comfortable. The shower pressure was great. The shower drain was very slow. I had to shut the shower off several times to let the water drain, or the water would have been up past my ankles. The outlet in the bathroom was very loose and has started to separate from the wall. The hotel staff is aware of the issues with our room. Hopefully, the maintenance crew will fix it soon.

Quick stop on our way to Florida so we could rest and shower. First room we were given the fridge didn’t work and smelled musty/mildewy so they moved us. Second room we were given had an overwhelming smell of paint or some type of chemical fumes. We tried to just deal with it since we were already moved once and didn’t want to seem like we were just complaining but it was just too bad. I went to the desk and asked the attendant to come to the room so she could understand what I was referring to. As soon as I opened the door she said “oh wow”. She said they sprayed the tub last week and were currently painting upstairs but couldn’t explain why the smell was just in that room, not in the hallway or anywhere else. So she said she would call her manager and see what to do. She moved us again to a “suite”. The suite had stains on the sofa and one of the bedspreads, and overall not the cleanest, nor were either of the 2 first rooms. I always take my own Lysol wipes and wipe down surfaces I plan to touch but don’t think I should have to clean the entire room. The “hot” breakfast offered was oatmeal, muffins, cereal and bananas. The only thing I can really say was good was the water pressure in the shower. I won’t be staying here again. The whole place needs to be updated. Rip out the nasty carpet and put hard surface flooring and replace furniture with some that can be wiped down. Like they say, you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig.

Stopped for the night on way home from Florida. The lady at the front desk was super nice, the room we stayed in had the newer laminate flooring which is nice compared to carpet. Housekeeping is lacking in some areas, the bathroom needed help, the air conditioner in room was set to 68, never got below 72. Went to breakfast the following morning and the milk was spoiled, daughters couldn’t eat their cereal they just poured into bowls.

Bathroom floor and toilet were dirty (I cleaned it myself) and breakfast was not sufficient. Definitely not up to par for a Wyndham hotel. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. TV worked. Fridge and microwave were present although we didn't use them.

The room as a whole is totally doable. The bed was comfy. But some updating is in order.
There are definite mold issues in the room I had in the bathroom. There are dead bug carcasses in the main entry light. Don't know if my camera showed them. The light was quite bright in the photo.
The faucet in the bathroom sink was plugged up so bad the water basically sprayed, so I took it apart, removed the screen/filter, then reassembled it, and it was fine after that. I left the screen/filter thingy on the bathroom counter for housekeeping to figure it out.
I switched places with the 2 lamps in the room because the one between beds did not have any plug spaces, and the one on the desk did, so it made more sense to me to make them change locations.
But again, this was a 1 night stop-over for work, and it suited my needs.
I will most definitely be speaking to Management before I depart the property in the morning.
Yes, Im.sure.if I said something upon check-in, they would have given me a different room w/o issues. But I just wanted a hot shower and a comfy bed due to my long road trip, and this fit the bill.. I most likely will be picking a different room if I ever pass thru Calhoun, GA. again. I will also inform my boss that this hotel is not a repeat stop.

The room was fine, a basic hotel room. It was at least clean, but kind of shabby. There is a spot by the door that was cut out to expose wiring. I told 2 front desk attendants that there was a dead rat by one of the side doors, and it was still there when I left. The "breakfast" was awful. The pool and the fitness center are both closed. Definitely not worth the $180 for the night
