The team at Cowgirl Up Stables were truly amazing! Friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We enjoy visiting this area of Georgia for a family trip every year and one of our must activities is horse back riding. Having visited different stables, Cowgirl Up Stables is by far the best! We couldn’t have asked for a better horse riding experience than Cowgirl Up Stables! Not only do they have amazing prices with a convenient location, but they care for their horses so lovingly. Brett, our guide, was such a great guy who was awesome to talk to and so helpful on the trail. He was giving us some dining recommendations for our trip, great storyteller, and just one of the many people at the stable who cares for their horses so much. We hope to be back soon and cannot recommend it enough (and ask for Brett if you can, you’re going to have a blast with him).

We had the best time on our 2 hour river ride with our tour guide, Nancy! My family of 4, including 2 kids 10 and under, do not have a lot of experience riding. Nancy made us so comfortable and made the experience so wonderful. She was super fun and great with the kids. We had great conversation and she is extremely knowledgeable. The horses were beautiful and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more! By the end of the ride, the kids were confident and begging to go again. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

If you thought about coming - do it! Our weekend group was looking for a fun activity and thankfully found here. We had a group of 7 with little to no experience riding so our guides, Dan and Kate helped us out with a super informative and playful way to remember what to do and how to remain safe! Their insight and experience had the horse pairings spot on based on the rider 🤩 we each got horses that truly fit us and made the ride much more fluid! Honestly, it was so much fun! Great conversations and laughs on the trail with everyone added bonus were Dan’s dad jokes 😂😭. You won’t miss coming here! Their entire staff was kind, happy, and love their horses!! Also, the horses are rescues which makes it even better. They’re well taken care of and loved so much. 💕

Our experience with Cowgirl Up was incredible! Our guide, Brett, was very knowledgeable and so nice to talk to along the trail. My husband and I booked the picnic ride while visiting Blue Ridge for our honeymoon, and we are so glad we did. The views were stunning up the mountain, even in winter. Our horses, Kat and Briar, were super well behaved and a pleasure to do the trail with. The sandwiches they provided for our picnic were great too! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful experience in nature & loves horses! Thank you guys for a wonderful day 🙂

Loved Cowgirl Up stables. I took friends who hadn’t ridden much and Liz, our trail guide, was awesome with her instruction and conversation along the ride. All the employees were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ll be back to ride again!

My husband and I had THE BEST time on our 1.5 hour private intermediate ride!! Mr. Dan was such a fun and personable guide, and his dog, Honey, was an added bonus! Tippy and Mia were such sweet horses, and the scenery was gorgeous!!

I originally wasn’t sure what kind of ride to book as I’ve ridden previously and am pretty comfortable on/around horses, but my husband is a little more cautious. I decided on the private 1.5 hour intermediate ride, and we both loved it! There’s some trotting, so if it’s your first ever ride, it may be a little much for you. If you’ve been on a horse a few times, this should be perfect! We hope to return for a more advanced ride in the future!

What a beautiful experience at Cowgirl Up Stables located in the Blue Ridge Mountains!!!!
We had a private tour and was able to cross through the creeks there on our horses!
Our tour guides Brett and Aaron were absolutely great! Brett led our line and assisted the youngest of our crew while Aaron kept us adults on the right track in the back. Aaron told us so many funny and interesting stories and definitely kept us entertained! We learned so much and had such a fun time!!! Every one felt safe and at ease! We will be back!!!
This is definitely something you should add to your family to do list if ever visiting this area!!!
