I've been fortunate to help shoot a few weddings at Heartwood Acres, and each has been unique in their own way. The venue really is a beautiful blank canvas that lets you put your own stamp on your celebration. The barn is so open and light, and there's plenty of outdoor space for vendors to set up in (hint hint...fresh pizza?). Don't skip using the woods and field next to the barn to mix up your photo locations!

From the moment my husband and I stepped onto Heartwood Acres, we knew we had found our wedding venue. The scenery is naturally appealing (the roses were in bloom the day of our wedding) and the barn renovations are a perfect blend of modern and rustic. It didn’t take much to enhance the venue’s beauty. Micah is a delight to work with and very helpful. Whether we had questions about the venue, or needed a restaurant recommendation, she was very knowledgeable and happy to help. Jonathan and I whole heartedly recommend using Heartwood Acres as a venue. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting to our big day.

We cannot express how pleased we were to find this event facility in the Lake Oconee area. The owner has gone above and beyond to make Heartwood Acres both chic and upscale yet retain a relaxed and fun atmosphere. She is so professional and pleasant to work with. We hosted 80 people for our daughter's outdoor wedding and every guest commented on how much they loved the setting. We enjoyed the versatility. Outdoor area with a fire pit, pretty rope lights, room for an outdoor bar area, beautiful brides dressing area and a cool bunkhouse for the groomsmen. The owner recommended a great wedding coordinator and she was very responsive as we narrowed down the final details. What was of most value to us was the venue could accommodate us for an indoor ceremony if we needed a plan B in inclimate weather on wedding day. The facility is very popular so book early. Highly recommend them.

As a wedding photographer, I have been to many venues and have own opinion from a different perspective. I messaged Heartwood Acres a few years ago about setting up a photoshoot and instantly connected with the owners the moment we met. The venue is so unique and I am obsessed with the modern twist on the "barn" with its beautiful white wooden walls, modern tiles and fixtures inside. As a vendor, I have seen how this venue treats us and their couples and that is one of the main reasons I ALWAYS recommend them when I have couples undecided on a venue spot.

We were captivated by the beauty of this venue—it's truly stunning, which is why we’ve given it 4 stars. However, our experience beyond the aesthetics was mixed, leading us to rate the other aspects 3 stars.

At first, communication with the owner was smooth and reassuring, but as our wedding day drew closer, it became increasingly difficult to stay in touch. We often reached voicemail and felt less prioritized, especially being out-of-state residents. Living in Florida, we were relying on timely communication and found it frustrating when we couldn’t get quick responses.

Additionally, we never met the owner in person. As we arrived on-site for the rehearsal dinner, we learned that a relative would be handling things, which caught us off guard since this hadn’t been communicated beforehand. The relative informed us—not the owner—which added unnecessary stress during a busy time.

While the groomsmen’s quarters were nice, they had visible cobwebs, and the bridal suite's shower could have used more attention in terms of cleanliness. Despite these concerns, the venue itself was a wonderful event space. However, our overall experience left us a bit disappointed. With a few improvements in communication and upkeep, this venue could easily exceed expectations.

We got married at Heartwood Acres last month & had the best day of our lives! Couldn't recommend this venue & Micah more to anyone looking to get married there! Micah is friendly, great with communication, accommodating with any changes, and so hard working behind the scenes. She has created a beautiful space and I am so thankful we got to share the space! We especially appreciated the strong AC during a hot summer Georgia wedding. Highly recommend Heartwood Acres, Micah, and the in-house coordinator Hadley Holmes to anyone looking to plan an event or wedding in the space. Thanks for everything!

My husband and I got married at Heartwood Acres last month, and it was a dream come true! I cannot speak highly enough of Micah and the entire Heartwood Acres property. The venue is gorgeous and clean with various amenities. Micah is amazing and one of the best parts about booking with HWA. She was accommodating throughout the entire process and went the extra mile for any of our requests. My guests had so much fun and loved the venue. Heartwood Acres is a beautiful venue that we would recommend for any occasion!

The venue was simplistic yet gorgeous. Micah, the owner, has flawlessly created a beautiful modern venue that can accommodate any lucky couple. The ground floor was perfect for having big dances during our wedding while the upstairs area was available to those who needed to break away. The fire pit lounge area was also just outside for those who would want to take some time outside for fresh air or to socialize. Overall, the setting was sleek and spacious with a pleasant atmosphere. Given that it was located in Eatonton, GA, it was hardly a long drive for us and our loved ones to arrive too. Micah was ever tactful with her arrangement of furnishings so that our big day was perfect. She also had many more options available so we were not stuck on one option should we have changed our floor plan. In addition to the venue, Micah has beautifully curated lofts with her awesome sense of style, for those who need a close-by stay. The lofts are just enough and conveniently located 10-15 mins from the venue. We felt comfortable, safe, and at home when staying at the lofts. She was an awesome host and we would recommend Heartwood Acres for any special occasion. 10/10
