Amazing Trip! My son and I went on a trip to Brazil that VIP Journeys put together. From start to finish, the trip was perfect. The guides were great and the accommodations were awesome. We saw everything we wanted to see, it was safe and had no stress because VIP Journeys had vetted everything. Adriana Forlizzi, our trip designer, made the process of planning the trip easy, quick and stress free while giving my son and I options that we may not have thought of or planned, like going to the jungle. I cannot recommend VIP Journeys enough. If you are thinking of going to South America, you should book through VIP Journeys.

We are back from our trip, and it was fantastic! Every transport was made without a hitch. The guides in Iguazu and Salvador were excellent. The add-on dune buggy day in Natal was a lot of fun, and the Amazonia excursions were interesting and exciting. And, while we liked some of the accommodations better than others, we would stay in any of them again. And, we saw USA get 4 points in the Brazil 2014 World Cup enough to get through. Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you so much for organizing our wonderful trip to Argentina. We truly had a wonderful time in Iguazu and BA. We most enjoyed our wonderful guide Fabio in Iguazu, the boat ride under the falls, the amazing apartment we had in BA, our fabulous walks through BA, and our day at the estancia. We were very happy that we got to visit La Boca and San Telmo on the city tour and really loved the estancia itself including the lunch and gaucho show; we even got to ride on horseback on the back of the gaucho's saddle! Also, the apartment was really fantastic, and Palermo Soho was the perfect area for us-- as Mike had suggested! Again, thanks so much for all the time and energy you put into making our trip extra special. And when we venture back to South America- hopefully to Patagonia and for Harris and I back to the Nannai- we hope to plan our adventures together again.

We're back! Absolutely wonderful trip. Just enough time in each quite interesting but different location. Buenos Aires is a great city and after our private tour with an awesome Victoria we had our bearings and made a friend. Were able to walk, bus and train around the city with confidence and experienced many of the neighborhoods, including the Jewish area of Once, great restaurants museums and a synagogue. Our one touristy event was the Gala Tango, though we really did enjoy it too. El Calafate in southern Patagonia was just beautiful with great tours visiting the glaciers and an estancia which included a gourmet lunch. With it's constant high winds, El Calafate should steal the name "windy city" as Chicago doesn't come close, except for the reference to it's politicians, of course.

Hi Michael,

I just wanted to follow up to tell you what an amazing time we had on our honeymoon in Brazil! Each destination was fantastic and unique from the other - we have a hard time saying which we liked the best b/c we loved them all so much in different ways!

What I most want to tell you is how absolutely terrific our guide, Ricardo Martins, was. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We learned so many interesting things from him. He went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable, he was always prompt and timely, and he exercised caution and safety at all times. He was also at times our personal photographer, which was a huge help! 🙂

Thanks again for coordinating all of the details of our trip -- it was really the trip of a lifetime!

Jeannine, you helped us to design a truly world-class experience from our time in Bahia and Rio to Las Pampas and Patagonia and everywhere in between. The food, wine, hotels, and friends we made made for the most memorable trip. We enjoyed every bit of our two weeks in SA.

Please tell my new best friend Sergio that his steaks, Salmuera, vinos, and after dinner drinks are thought of every time I fire up my grill. That was THE best dinner!

Thank from the bottom of our hearts! Cary, Veronica, Aubrey, and Carrington Lobban

Carol & Mike,

Michelle and I have been back from our Argentina Honeymoon for a little over a week and we just wanted to write you and say Thank You for helping us plan a truly amazing honeymoon. Argentina was amazing and all of your suggestions were spot on. From the wineries in Mendoza to the lakes of Bariloche, the amazing glaciers in El Calafate and the big city of Buenos Aires - our trip was first class all the way and we would not been able to make it that way without all of your help. If you ever have a client that asks for a recommendation, please feel free to pass them my e-mail address. Thank you again!

Hi Caroline, In addition to wishing you and your family a Happy New Year, I am finally getting around to giving you our evaluation of the trip we took to Brazil in October/November. In one word, we thought the trip was just “sublime.” The mix of scenic beauty, adventure, urban energy and sophistication, culinary delights and, of course, Brazilian personalities was simply a wonderful travel experience. In Trancoso, I can’t say enough about our 3-night stay at the Jacare do Brasil, located in the Quadrado area of Trancoso. The room is better described as a villa. We had a palatial bedroom area, a wrap-around deck with huge couches and chaises, and an outdoor kitchen/eating area that reminded us of places in which we have stayed in Mexico. The low key, relaxed, yet sophisticated, nature of Trancoso just captured our souls. Each day we awoke to several of the staff knocking on our door with provisions to cook breakfast for us in our outdoor kitchen. We then lounged and read on the outdoor deck, until around Noon, when we hiked down the mountain to the ocean. The surf was rough and very swimable, with killer waves. We hiked along the beech, ate seafood at the native restaurants along the beech, and just had a great time enjoying the Trancoso scene. Dinner was had at one of the fabulous, upscale restaurants in the Quadrado. Parati – This was another sublime stop on our trip. This
picturesque town captured our fancy for two days. We walked the streets, boated to the islands enjoyed the quietude and loved the food. The Pousada do Sandi was fine.

So, all in all, it was quite a fabulous trip. There were no glitches to speak of, the airline connections were flawless, and the hotel accomodations equalled or exceeded, our expectations. Many thanks to you for your invaluable input in planning and arranging the trip and your remaining available by phone during the trip.
