Absolutely the best experience! Dan and crew run a tight ship but keep it somehow pleasantly stress free. I completed ASA101 with Dave in less than two full days. Dave is an extremely experienced sailor with racing experience of the highest levels. Captain John took me through ASA103 and 104 in under four days! I plan on joining the club to gain access to the entire fleet of 17 boats so I can get some more hands-on experience. I am so excited to have picked this up. Sunrise made it easy!

There just aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am to Sunrise Sailing, and specifically instructor, John Doyle. I have a 24 foot sailboat and had previously taken a US Sailing course. It did not help me at all with the executionof sailing. I capsized my old Y Flyer and really lost a lot of the confidence I once had. I wasn't able to fully enjoy sailing any more and my confidence was shaken. In steps my dad who gifted me sailing classes.

I chose Sunrise because of their reviews and the fact that the classes were small. In fact, my course was one-on-one.

John was extremely patient with me, and over the 2 days of lessons, really brought back my confidence. He is an excellent instructor who doesn't just spout facts or instructions. He used the experiences on the lake to teach, which helped me remember the lessons. I like to learn the "why" not just the "how to," and that is what John taught me. Now that I know why things have to be done certain ways, it made sense and was easier to remember. I also experienced 2 different boats. Each of these boats were outfitted with accessories that I don't have on my boat and was considering purchasing. I even thought I wanted a wheel instead of a tiller. Joke was on me! It was nice to use these tools to learn on and be able to make an informed decision on considering them to boat on my boat.

Today we sailed in some pretty intense wind and my uneasiness with heeling in high winds gave way to pure exhilaration.
I am so excited about my sailing adventures and feel a lot more confident in my skills and knowledge.
If you are considering learning about sailing or need a refresher, I strongly recommend Sunrise Sailing.

Stephanie and I just returned from our first bareboat charter in the BVI. We took ASA 101, 103, and 104 from Sunrise Sail and the classes prepared us very well. We had a great time sailing the BVI and always felt in control of the boat and situation. I highly recommend the classes to become a better sailor for the lake or wherever you want to sail.

The classes are fun and you will learn a lot. 🙂

Fantastic!!!!! A very affordable way to learn to sail and sail regularly without having to purchase and maintain your own boat. No experience?
Not a problem. Sunrise has great instructors and once you pass the basic class, you have the opportunity to take out a nicely maintained sailboat pretty much anytime you want. All at a fraction of what it costs (in time, and dollars) to buy and maintain your own boat. It can be a great family activity as everyone needs to work together.

When we moved from Miami, we completely put sailing out of our minds. We didn't even think of it. Then we stumbled across Dan and Sunrise Sailing Club. We have been sailing almost every week since last summer.

I have been a member of Sunrise Sail for many years and can not say enough about the club and owner, Dan. Everyone there makes you feel comfortable as they give you all you need for a fun and safe day on the water. Years ago I started sailing on a Capri 22'. I upgraded my skills and boats over the years and now sail the Hunter 41DS that the club keeps in perfect condition. No matter what boat you go on they are all kept to Dan's very higher standards. Bottom line is Sunrise Sail is a great place to learn and an awesome e club to belong too! Also, Daniel...thanks for keeping the boats running so smooth!

It's so nice to be able to go to a well maintained boat for a day of sailing and then come back and leave. No "boat projects" or maintenance to worry about. You have a boat to use when you want but none of the hassles and cost of boat ownership. Dan and crew are great. Very competent instructors that will give you the confidence to go anywhere and do anything with a sailboat. I highly recommend them.

Great group of people to work with. I have used them for sail training and as part of the club. It is the perfect mix of professionalism with out being uncomfortable or intimidating. If you are thinking about getting into this great sport/lifestyle then get your training started with Sunrise Sailing. If you need to brush up on your skills they can help you with this also. If you just need access to some nice boats to sail then Sunrise Sail also has many boat options to fit you preferences. Not trying to sound like a commercial but I like to give positive feedback to people doing a good job. Sunrise Sail does a good job.

Great sailing operation on Lake Lanier. We looked into all of them and this is your best option for sailing in the Atlanta area. Fractional ownership is very reasonable and their scheduling system is great. We haven't had any issues with the condition of the boat or availability. Highly recommended.
