I grew up in the neighboring town and wanted to take my niece back up there to go hiking. This place is great and In a perfect area. They have multiple cabins plus a little lodge and a house that is available so perfect for big parties if wanted. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Clayton and part of that drive is on a gravel road so be prepared. I had a Jeep but saw other regular cars and they seemed to manage fine in the summer. Might not be great in winter. We had cabin 4 which was a 2 bedroom. Had a little kitchenette and fridge so perfect for our needs. Window unit ac which worked great. WiFi was a little slow and ended up connecting to cabin 3 cause I didn’t see cabin 4 pop up as an option but worked good enough for us. Beautiful property with a beautiful waterfall onsite. We will definitely return and stay here again.

If I could give this location 10 stars I would. The cabin was super clean and smelled amazing. The entire cabin was clean. There was clean fresh linen. The beds and blankets were comfy and clean. So plush. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the things you need for a week. It is very kid friendly. Had a waterfalls on its property and many lakes and streams. We stayed in the overlook cabin and it was secluded, noise free and Mountain View’s. We will definitely be coming back here every year. This is the go to spot and drivable nearby to all the national parks and beautiful treks. The owner was the best. It was my husbands birthday and she arranged a cake and flowers for me. She went all the way to the store and picked up everything we needed. We are absolutely blessed to have found this place. Management was responsive. Internet was great. Everything was just perfect. No need to think twice before booking with Deb.

Absolutely beautiful! Great retreat for my husband and I to get away and relax. Internet & satellite were a bit spotty but Patty made sure we were taken care of. It was nice to unplug for a little while anyway. Cabin was super clean and had everything we needed and the grounds were amazing. We definitely hope to be back.

We stayed here again for a week with 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We stayed at the overlook cabin and had a great time as usual. Cabin was perfect for our needs with a full kitchen and two full baths. The couch folded out to a very comfortable bed. Love the property and can’t wait to return.

Place was absolutely amazing peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure to meet Heather who helped us with a little situation with the TV and she was the hidden gem. If you want to place for relaxation this is the place. Our two kids five and eight absolutely loved it.

We stayed here twice before and loved it. This time we were very disappointed!! Our room was very dirty! There were leaves and dirt all over the floor!!!. My husband had to sweep the floor and made a pile in the bathroom and main living area. The baseboards throughout the place were filthy. There was mold on all the inside window sills. The window directly by the bed had so much mold and set my mold allergies off. There were dirty paper towels in the kitchen sink. The furniture and decor is old but it would of never mattered if it was clean. The outside grounds are maintained beautifully. The grounds are so tranquil and relaxing they look like they were right out of a fairytale!! They have a beautiful waterfall on the property. We called the front staff and left as voicemail the fist night. On the second day we spoke to an answering service who stayed someone would call us back. No one ever called!!! Very disappointing!! The cleaning crew inside needs to follow the outside staffs immaculate job!!! We would love to return as the property is sooo amazing however it was so dirty I don't think we can return.

Nice quiet pretty place. We stayed in a two bed one bath cabin. My 90 yr old Aunt could not use her walker even though we were told it was handicap accessible. Thank goodness we brought her cane. Very small refrigerator but had a hot plate, toaster oven and a coffee pot. We were the only ones in the four lake front (pond) cabins.

We stayed at the Overlook cabin for 2 nights. Location is beautiful, quiet, peaceful - if you need to escape from everyday rush this is the spot. Or it would be if it was kept clean. On the first look cabin didn't appear dirty, but as the day went on, we would notice more and more. Sheets were clean, towels too, but both had musty smell, so did one of the bathrooms. Master bathroom is completaly new, so no issues there. Shower curtain had black and pink mold (see pics), there was mold on window sills and also some 'growth' on the furniture and side panel of kitchen cabinets. A lot of dust on all of the ceiling fans and bathroom fan. Dirty, dirty windows (inside). Cabin is older but it wouldn't be an issue if it was clean. Overall-great location, poor cleanliness.
