Laurel Mountain Cabins - Hiawassee, Georgia

This makes our third trip to Laurel Mountain Cabins!! We have been married over 28 years and discovered these lovely cabins not long after we were married. We last came here on our tenth anniversary and decided to come again this past week. (After 18 years) Love that is family owned and operated.
Although I did not get to meet Iris in person she was very gracious over the phone when booking our cabin.
Dennis was very personable and accomodating in every way.
This is like our little home away from home. We are now retired, but we needed a break from evey day routines and responsibilities. So beautiful and relaxing here! We love sitting on the back porch watching the birds come to the feeders and the mountains in the distance! We plan to come back again next year!!

My stay at Laurel Mountain Cabins was by far the most relaxing getaway I’ve had.
The folks taking care of us were amazing from start to finish. We received a warm welcome as everything we needed to know about the cabin and its amenities was well explained. We were provided with loads of information on things to do in the area, from hiking and sight seeing to local dining and entertainment options in town.
The cabin itself was great! The setup gave it a cozy feel with plenty of space inside. The cabin was very clean and well organized, which made it easy to find the things we needed. The mountain views here were beautiful. Whether it was morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the deck was a great place to relax and just enjoy the scenery and wildlife.
It was a great experience all around. A huge thank you to Scott, Iris and the team who helped make this a wonderful weekend for us! I will most definitely be returning in the future.

We loved our stay at Laurel Mountain Cabins, they make a wonderful vacation get away, beautifully set in the North Georgia Mountains of Hiawassee. This is our second stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again!
The cabins are clean and comfortable, and have that cozy mountain cabin feel and décor. The back deck is superb for relaxing and taking in the mountain views. They are secluded, quiet and so peaceful, and yet just a 10 minute drive into town for restaurants, grocery store, cute shops, etc.
The owners are on site and provide great communication before and during the stay.
They have several cabin sizes to choose from, perfect for any family or group of friends. In our opinion they are the perfect vacation spot in the mountains!

We were able to get away for a quick weekend trip and chose Laurel Mountain Cabins. I would highly recommend if you are visiting this area to rent one of these cabins! We rented the Aster cabin, so clean and decorated beautifully! The view is beyond amazing from the back deck. We were welcomed by Dennis and he went above and beyond to make sure we were familiar with the cabin and answered any questions we had. By far the best cabin experience we have ever had!

We got away for a few days and stayed at Laurel Mountain Cabins. It is so quite and serene. We loved sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee and watching the birds. The view of the mountains is amazing. We enjoyed trout fishing at Tallulah River and also hit up a few antique shops in Hiawassee and Dillard. What a wonderful getaway. Thanks Scott, Iris and Dennis for your hospitality and help in making our stay a great experience from booking to checkout.

Such a wonderful gem! I just stayed here with my partner for our anniversary and it was such a good choice. The whole experience was wonderful beginning to end!

After making my reservation, I was given lots of information on the area, like dining, shopping, and nature experiences. It ended up being too cold to hike that weekend but the cabin was so incredible we didn't mind. We also got shown how to use all the controls when we arrived so we got to settle right in. (And my heart was warmed to find a hand made card waiting for us).

The cabin is so cozy and romantic. Our back patio had a killer view and was so private. The bed was so comfortable and we loved having a fully stocked kitchen so we could cook. The fireplace was incredible and there's nothing better than coffee in the crisp mountain air (just bring your own ground coffee, as that isn't provided).

I will definitely be recommending this to anybody who will listen. It's such a great little mountain vacation site!! I hope to return very soon.

Laurel Mountain Cabins was phenomenal!! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it! The views were gorgeous, our cabin was very nice and well maintained, and the owners were knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We will 100% be going back for multiple future vacations and recommending this place to all of our friends and family! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We stayed in the Azalea cabin over the weekend. The cabin couldn't have been more perfect for us and our little dog. I had mentioned we were going to have guests on Saturday for my husband's birthday. Iris made a lovely birthday card for my husband and a cute container of doggie treats for our little dog. The cabin was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The king size bed was so comfortable with really nice sheets and pillows. |We went into Hiawassee and picked up some BBQ at The Happy Hawg. Saturday evening we had 10 guests. There was plenty of room to lay out the food and for everyone to sit comfortably and eat. The food was great. The owners are very caring and helpful. Communication was easy. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Laurel Mountain Cabins. Jerry, Brenda, Randi
