Spectacular breathtaking views! The visitors center had some nice exhibits showing the history of the area. Make sure to participate in the land lottery to see what kind of property you may end up with as well as the scavenger hunt! Nice movie, shows how the views of the mountain change between seasons. Gift shop has the typical souvenirs and bathrooms were spotless. Was one of the highlights of my trip and will definitely be back when I visit the area next year.

The view on a clear day is awesome. You can see Clingmans Dome in Tennessee in the background. The town of Hiawassee Ga. is in the background also. We had to hike up the trail as the shuttle wasn’t open yet. It took around 35 minutes for us to get to the top. The crowds are at a minimum this time of year. We went 3/11/25.

The tallest point in Georgia!! It was definitely worth checking out if you live in the state or surrounding area. The views up on top of the visitor center are very spectacular. The hike from the parking lot at the bottom is 0.6 miles. It’s definitely a long hike. If you aren’t used to that sort of thing then I would check into taking the transit buses that operator during their business hours.

So beautiful! The clouds were low and freezing cold.....Burrr! But awesome. We took the Shuttle to the observation tower and center. It's a steep hike. Maybe next time. Restrooms are across from souvenir shop/visitor center.
The frost on the trees, etc. is called Hoars Frost. Caused by the low clouds moisture. You can see Georgia, North and South Carilina and Tennessee I had no directional bearings while up on the tower....but that's me. But, it would be nice to have the States that can be viewed from the Tower posted.
Good times, almost froze, lol
Too cold for me to take many pictures!

This is one of the a must go place in Georgia. There is a visitor and information center on right when you pass payment station . You can buy some refreshments and snacks. Large restroom just beginning of hiking trail. You can sit on picnic tables around parking lot. You can take shuttle if you can’t walk up there . You can see several states from the summit.

Beautiful spot to watch the sunrise! The hike was short but intense. 360 views. Just wish the bathrooms opened a bit earlier.

It's a fantastic spot to take in nature's beauty and the surrounding mountain ranges. You can access the 360-degree deck and information center either by hiking the trail or taking the shuttle. The last shuttle to the tower leaves at 4:30 PM, and the final shuttle back to the parking lot departs at 5:00 PM. Admission is $8 for adults, while kids 15 and under can enter for free.
