Quite an amazing park, definitely a half day trip at least. I hiked the north and south rim trails, as well as visiting Inspiration Point and swinging bridge. North Rim starts at the visitor center, just follow the signage on this easy hike to various overlooks. Trail is mostly packed earth and rubber mulch until you find the stairs to the gorge. I traveled the entire North rim towards the damn and highway overpass, which you can walk along. Lake and beach is nearby. There was a good bit of ice on the South Rim portion and this is where I took the stairs to the famous bridge and on toward the Hurricane Falls overlook. Lots of stairs but doable. I was there for about 4 hours exploring altogether, plenty of stops for pics. $5 parking fee. Interpretive center is very nice, historical displays, history on the gorge, taxidermy of the local wildlife, gift shop. Very well thought out. Bad time of year to hike the river itself, no permits today, but I understand them to be free.

Super clean! Easy to moderate hiking. The center itself is amazing! It’s like a mini museum. The park rangers are super informative and knowledgeable. I hiked out to overlook 1 first, then to the tower, then to inspiration point before heading back, filling up my water and hitting the hurricane falls loop. Nice easy paths, the only reason I would make this a moderate hike is the 221 stairs down to the base of hurricane falls and the 347 stairs up to the south rim to complete the loop. But other than that, it’s a good easy hike with lots of points to stop and rest at.

Gorgeous views for the novice (to Overlook 2 and Overlook 3 - this is a rubberized path!) and for the "stair masters"!

Photos are of the L'Eau d'Oro Falls (upper falls), Hawthorne Pool, in between the 2 falls, with Tempesta Falls below (from Overlooks 2 and 3) and the Suspension Bridge (after descending 310 stairs!!) with Hurricane Falls just below the bridge.

Absolutely gorgeous, no pun intended! This park is absolutely worth going to. The "hiking" trail is very easy and the views make it even better. With several overlooks, you get numerous chances to take in the beauty of the falls and the ingenuity of the dam. The trail for the most part is dog friendly except the bridge that goes over the gorge. There is a cute little gift shop and I believe an educational area in the beginning of the park however I did not go inside because we had our dog. The bathrooms were also clean and had several stalls. Overall I would rate this park a 10/10 and we will be coming back.

The interpretive center is a good launching point for visiting the state park. The 1099 steps is challenging, but absolutely worth the work.

Great views of the waterfalls and the staff at the center were very helpful in showing us a good path to take to get to see all of the falls without a strenuous hike. The center itself is amazing to see and very informative about the wildlife and the history of the area. I also personally love the architecture and interior design of the center. Very much worth a visit.
