Place was great! a little hard to know where to go at first, but we got it figured out. Would totally recommend. Greg helped us out and gave us a quick tutorial and sent us on our way. Very peaceful and a lot of space to get used to the kayaks and enjoy the day. We saw a lot of fish and a couple of turtles. Overall great experience

At Quarry Springs, Greg and his staff do an excellent job! Friendly and caring! If you’re new to kayaking this is the place to go to learn. Greg and his staff are very knowledgeable and have your safety in mind. If you want quiet and peaceful you will definitely find that at Quarry Springs. This is our third season going to the Quarry and we love it out there! You won’t regret giving it a try.

These guys were awesome! We did the Des Moines river float. Love that we start and stop at Captain Roys, we had breakfast before we left and a beverage when we got back. Everyone was so helpful! I've rented kayaks from several different places and I can honestly say these were the nicest and most comfortable with fully adjustable seats.

This was such an easy and fun experience. Quarry Springs Outfitters was super easy to work with from purchasing tickets online to getting us on and off the river. The kayaks were really stable which is great for those new to kayaking. I'm already looking forward to doing it again!

Cheap rentals fees, clean rental gear, friendly staff, and easy to navigate waters. You'll want to rent for 2 hours to best explore Quarry Springs lake. I'll do this again for sure.🤙🤙🤙

Rented 2 kayaks to run the Des Moines River from Euclid Ave to Captain Ron's. QSO staff was great and look forward to taking the longer float next time!

We love kayaking at the Colfax quarry! The Quarry Springs people are so friendly and helpful. Scenery is beautiful, water is refreshing and you can go as hard as as easy as you choose. Love it!
