deplorable, where to begin
we can start with the so called memory assessment test, does a politician think they deserve to be re-elected?
plenty of cobwebs, missing trim and chipped paint greet you, and there are plenty enough dead bugs in the light fixtures to keep a biology class busy for two semesters at least.
seldom have so many rude people been assembled under one roof, they even have their very own in house nurse Ratchet. they borderline on abusive. unless you happen to be the one writing the check, even though its not their money, that makes you royalty.
the food is usually burnt beyond anything recognizable, fortunately plenty of time lapses before it gets to the memory care side to be even remotely warm.
residents are left in the same clothes day and night for 3 to 5 days at a time, which matches the bathing schedule and that lines up with the bathroom cleaning times as well as the laundry.
the difference between the memory care side and the assisted living side is more money and a locked door.
our loved one has spent his first 86 years of life free from an emergency room visit. in his first 2 months there he has been twice to the emergency room, once for blood clots on his lungs due in large part to a complete change to a sedentary lifestyle, the second due to extreme dehydration, all under the auspicious, diligent 24 hour care of the obviously highly trained staff.
we had nothing to do with putting him there, nor can we remove him even for a great grandchild's birthday party.
as our loved one says, whoever put him there should also have to live there.
the only thing yall take seriously is the check from the family member not living there miss trisha. i have pointed out several failings, check them out if you can fit it into your busy schedule,
