This museum is an amazing little museum just in the middle of nowhere in Iowa! I was going down to the races and I stopped by and this museum has a lot of interesting and historical artifacts in it! Everybody there is very friendly and will help you out and give you a little tour about the history of aviation in Iowa! From the right brother to modern day, this is an amazing experience!

Small but mighty!
Loads of history, stories, and artifacts, including some one-of-kind as well as experimental planes. I learned a lot about aviation history and especially how many Iowans have contributed in different ways. Gene was an awesome tour guide. If you are a history buff or a fan of planes, you will love it.
I think it is best for middle school and up, but they do have an activity corner for young children.

We had an amazing tour by Chris/Kris. She is so knowledgeable and shared a wealth of historical facts.
Our 8 year old said it was way more interesting than he expected it to be and much bigger than it looked from the outside.
We could have spent a lot more time there but we had an event to get to.
It's definitely worth the visit.

We had a great experience at the Iowa Aviation Museum today. The staff was super friendly and shared a wealth a information as we walked through the various exhibits spanning from the first days of flight to the modern era. I wish I had the lady her name as it was a pleasure to meet her. If you enjoy history and aviation things this is the place you need to visit!

Small but mighty. This place has a lot of interesting things. It is a guided tour, and our guide was knowledgeable and enjoyable. Can very easily be several hrs if you have the time.

A hidden gem of a place. Flew in to knock out some cross country hours, and ended up staying for over an hour. I could have stayed longer if I had the time! Front exhibit hall has lots of personal artifacts from families and individuals, from around the world, all tied to Iowa.

In the attached hangar space, there are several examples of vintage aircraft, some that are truly one-of-a-kind, kept in meticulous shape.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and available. I would definitely make this a stop off the interstate if I hadn't flown in!

Great value for anyone interested in aviation. There is an impressive amount of information on Iowans in aviation from the early days at the turn of the 20th century to the present. There is a hangar with a number of vintage aircraft and information around 'famous plane crashes' that have taken place in the state.

There is an Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame and library in the back of the hangar with racks of books, reference materials, and videos for perusal or research.

This is a very quiet and quaint operation - don't expect anything too grand...but you will find a great deal of information with 'Iowa nice' treatment at a bargain price.

Was closed for the season, but I drove up anyway. Has an A-7 and a Cobra outside. They both need some work, but for the enthusiast, I think it's worth the effort.
