This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. It is newer but very bare bones. The staff is friendly enough, no big standouts. It’s a very basic room for the night. Like many budget chains they have a large number of workers staying, this is fine and no worry. But, it seems the breakfast is for them to devour in the early morning hours before “normal travelers” are up yet. Out of 5 nites spent here we have only had breakfast once. If you get up after 8am there is very little left, it is obviously not replenished. Even the coffee was always gone and breakfast from 6am - 9am should mean until 9am!!

There was a problem with the thermostat in room 119. It did not regulate the room temperatu ere to get the heat off, put on the cooling, and open the window to allow cold night air into the room. No other rooms were available on the first floor and with no elevator (Really?) we were making do by turning off the heater/ac unit after the room was cool and closing the window while we slept. I later found that the thermostat setting of 58 degrees made the heating unit cycle and kept the temperature reasonable in the room for the remaining 2 days of our stay.

We will be staying for one night on two occasions in April. Do you think we could get the same rate $99.99 for those nights? We would take the same room, 199, since we know about the heater/ac unit in that room.

Okay, i stayed here for a couple nights and customer service is elite status. Anything I needed, they were happy to oblige.

And LINDA went above and beyond. I thank her for her kindness.

The rooms were clean, and everything is in working order.

I cannot say enough about how amazing the staff was. |Hard emphasis on Kyrsten. She was so helpful when things went unplanned with the trip. She was so quick and friendly to get all of our concerns and needs, addressed and handled. She made the stress, less stressful.

The booking of the room online had some issues for me but were solved. The people who work there are special top notch people. Very helpful. The could have a grab bar installed even though the room is not handicapped labeled the tub was a bit talk to step over. Breakfast was very good with an issue with a machine outside of staffs control. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

First and foremost, the staff members were excellent - friendly, helpful, and polite! The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The lobby area was very welcoming. There was a bar available for adult beverages. The price was great, especially for everything we received. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Our family was going on vacation and broke down around 7:30pm on a Friday night in Sheldon, IA on our way to Grand Rapids from Omaha. We did not know a think about Sheldon. So we could see the Holiday Inn sign and made it there but they were full. But they recommended the Cobblestone right behind them. Went to the Cobblestone and they had ONE room left. Problem is that we have 8 people in our vehicle. They understood our delima and even tho they are not supposed to they let us all stay the night and accommodated us best they could. They really went way above and beyond in helping us in our desperate need. We did not know when our vehicle could be repaired or how long it might take and the Cobblestone worked with us so graciously. They made us feel like it was their privilege and honor to help us. We are so grateful. These are just good people who really care about their customers. We are so thankful.
