I live in Storm Lake, so I've never stayed in the hotel, however, we've been to the water park several times and it's always a blast. The kids enjoys hours of entertainment for a great price. The pool area is always clean. The lifeguards and staff are kind and helpful. The concessions are delicious. It is located right next to the lake, so you enjoy a great view during the summer with the outdoor pool.

We visited when only the indoor part was open. There wasn’t a lot to do, after a couple hours we headed to our hotel. Concessions were a little pricey as well.

Another important thing to consider, is the high amount of chlorine. We had to immediately shower after swimming due to itchiness. Our toddler swallowed some water and had diarrhea that night.

The hotel was nice, a little out of date. Elevator was pretty slow, lot of wait time.

Overall, the children had fun. Nothing was overly upsetting to us. I’m sure this place is 10x more fun when the outdoors part is open.

Hotel lobby area is nice, but rooms are outdated and very rundown. They are remodeling (new beds and microwaves), but seems things need to move a little faster in that category. Broken chair in our room, couch had stains on it, paint chipped on walls, carpet worn out, etc. Staff is great. Cannot take water bottles into water park. Cannot take outside food into water park. Food offerings in waterpark are mediocre at best especially if you’re feeding young kids. Water park is fun especially for kids about age 10 and under. The water is warm, but the temperature in the water park is cool if you’re swimming. Would’ve preferred they kept it warmer. Called ahead and were promised two cribs, but nothing was available for us when we arrived so my babies had nowhere to sleep. After complaining, the manager gave us a pack n play she had in her car, and my sister let me use the pack n play she brought (and put her toddler in a bed instead). With all the kids at the resort, they need more than two cribs. Bring your own pack n play if you plan on using.

Two friends and I tried the restaurant for the first time for a late lunch today and were so glad we did. The huge windows all across the room give you a great view of the lake. My reuben and fries were the best I’ve ever had. Lots of choices on the menu. Our waitress was sweet and checked on us several times. Beware the brownie sundae was 3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and just a little chocolate sauce. We will definitely be back.

I stay at King's Pointe approximately twice per month. I have always had a great experience, the staff are always friendly, and I find the beds to be especially comfortable. The view of the lake is stunning as well. I highly recommend staying.

I did not stay in the hotel so I'm not sure how everything is on that side. Went to the Waterpark today. We usually do this once a year or so. Planned the trip for 3 weeks. We live about an hour hour and a half away. Get there swim for about 45 minutes. Go to one part of the pool and there is small brown round things at the bottom. We went to another part of the pool same story. We got out and I grabbed a life guard. She waded through and found some then went and put a glove on under direction of the manager. Picked a piece up then showed him. I feel so bad for this girl you could tell she didn't want to. The manager finally calls everyone out of the pool. It was spread to all parts of the pool and still was unnoticed by staff. I asked for a refund because we were only there about an hour. The manager said they only do that if you are only there for 30 minutes or less and that I can wait 30 minutes and go back in. There was no way for me to keep my special needs son out of the water. And I would rather not swim in a toilet. They were netting in every part of this pool and didn't tell anyone what was going on. I will never go back there again.

Nice location on the lake. Rooms showing a little wear, but hotel is in the process of remodeling. We had breakfast one morning and were pleased with the selections and the quality of food. We would return if we were back in that area.

While on a multi-city trip visiting family and friends, we stopped at this resort for one night to see a close friend. Our stay here was a highlight! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - they couldn’t do enough for you. The property has so many options for lodging - we were in the main resort building. Whether relaxing on the balcony overlooking the lake from our room, grabbing food in the on-site restaurant or strolling the grounds, we enjoyed every moment. The room was cleaned to a very high standard - which was in good keeping with the surrounding Storm Lake area. Would highly recommend!
