My husband and I had our wedding reception at the La Poste in September of 2024. We loved the historical look of the building, and the location was great for friends and family, as well as within walking distance to the Hotel Pattee. The venue price is great and we received so many compliments on it being such a gem. The staff who assisted with our wedding day were wonderful and super helpful. The building is full of character, and really doesn't need a lot of decorating as it speaks for itself.

I would highly recommend booking your wedding venue here! Downtown Perry is so charming, and there are a lot of great photo opportunities in La Poste and around downtown.

Wedding Venue Review

La Poste was our dream venue, and it lived up to our expectations. From the moment we visited, we knew it was perfect for us. We had our ceremony upstairs, and reception downstairs. I only recommend doing this if you have a smaller wedding of 80 people or less. Because we did it this way, the venue was extremely affordable.

Upstairs was classy, elegant, and beautiful for our ceremony. Downstairs was unique, fun, romantic, and magical for our reception. The cellar has a very eclectic look to it, and we loved how unique it was. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was throughout the wedding.

We worked with Jenny, the coordinator for this venue. She was super helpful and kind-hearted, and she made the whole process super easy. She worked with us to make the space fit our needs, and her team took care of venue setup and cleanup, excluding our own decor that we brought in. She was a pleasure to work with!

My husband and I had our December wedding reception here--so beautiful. We chose this venue (and Hotel Pattee) because they are gorgeous historic buildings. So much character. Our guests loved this spot. We had a cocktail hour in the cellar (basement) which is very speakeasy-like. Then a dinner and dance upstairs. Jenny (absolutely fabulous to work with ) fulfilled some very specific asks from us and I can never be thankful enough for that. The two bartenders were absolutely amazing and had great suggestions for cocktails! The servers were awesome (we had a plated dinner). The food (from Cafe Pattee) was sooo delicious. I'm so happy with the event.

I wish we lived nearby because La Poste has events every Thursday in the cellar (I think) that include live music and some food/drink. I bet that's a fun time.

Naturally, I didn't take many photos on the day of, but here's a few. It was a small wedding (60ish folks), but this place can hold many more.

My Gosh . We had our 6th Christmas Party there and it was Awesome! The place is soo cool and the ArtWork from a local Artist is Great. AND FOR SALE!! If you ever need to book it , don't pass up the up!

Had a wedding and reception here. Absolutely would recommend the venue! It is unique and beautiful. But it is more than that; it's the owners that make this place what it is. They are top notch people; pleasant, helpful and kind. The bartender, Jake, was great! Loved it all!!

Just had our parents 60th Anniversary party at the Cellar. Very cool little venue, reasonable, and so unique. Everyone loved the place and had a great time. Jenny was great to work with. Helpful, understanding, flexible, and very nice!

What a gem of a venue! My daughter had her graduation reception in the main hall. It was beautiful. The Handlebar downstairs is also a great gathering place to hear good music and view rotating artists work.
