Once checked in went to room and it reeked of smoke. Talked to older man at front desk and he became very irritated and aggressive. Asked for different room - at least 6 rooms had not been checked in and he refused insisting this was non smoking hotel and there was no rooms available. He became angry and offered us a can of spray to mask smell. I asked for a discount and he said no and mumbled we might as well to somewhere else. Younger lady came to front, hushed him a couple of times and gave us new room. He was extremely mad. My 22 year old daughter would not go to continental breakfast both days without me because she was scared of him. Experience besides that was very pleasant. Rooms were clean - love the wood plank flooring. Beds were not made during day - towels were replaced. Surprised there was no lotion, individual hair conditioner

My husband and I are senior citizens and were camping in the area when a big storm arose. We decided to go to a hotel, arriving in Pella at 2 AM. Despite the hour, the manager Ronak Patel was extremely welcoming and considerate. He welcomed us to hot tea & fruit before heading up to our pristine room. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was great. Mr Patel said we could sleep in because of our late arrival. His friendly father even made the waffles for us. This family has recently renovated the hotel and the space is attractive, comfortable, friendly, and very welcoming. Given the popularity of Pella, we found the price very affordable. We will definitely return. We are grateful to the staff for their help during the storm.

The hotel did the job. It's not a luxurious hotel by any means. There is construction at the front entrance and there was no sign to show where to go for an alternate entrance. The police were there when we arrived and the front desk attendant made it seem like a common occurrence so I was concerned at first. But the stay turned out adequate. The staff helped fix the TV and they were friendly enough. The price is good and the location is very close to all of the attractions.

The flooring was installed incorrectly. At night, it was a trip hazard . Was asked for a check-in time that was useless they didn't even turn the ac on and walked into a room that was so humid we had to leave to find some comfort. The front driveway was torn up, and we had to enter from an alley in the back . Way over priced for this experience!

Basic rooms, but clean and well cared for. What really stood out to me was the hospitality extended by the family that owns the hotel. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are having a good time.

I would stay here again because of the hospitality, location, comfort, and safety.

We enjoyed our stay. They've done some work on the exterior recently too. Anenormous note of gratitude to the owners for calling me to tell me I'd left a bag behind!! So glad we were still in Pella. Will be back soon.

My husband stayed here for work for two months. The staff was very friendly to him. They made sure there was oranges on the breakfast spread for him every morning. They are currently updating the rooms with new locks and ac units. Hope your experience is as pleasant as his was.
