Last year when hiking at Greer, I stayed here for a couple nights. Good, basic accommotations. New owners this year and I noticed a difference! My room (#137) had the (now standard) gray flooring, new receptacles, new lamps (with charger space), a new light-blocking curtain and a renovated (or new) AC. Nice! The owners did a thorough caulking job in the bathroom (can you have too much caulk?) and the WiFi worked great (unlike last year).|I loved the new refrigerator with a separate freezer. I can freeze my ice bottles here and not waste ice. Televisions looked new, although I don't use them.|Clean sheets and a comfortable bed with four pillows. |The breakfast is well done with some nice features - and I loved the soft music in the breakfast room. Bagels toasted (new toaster) perfect and I had my choice of cream cheese (and a flavored one), jelly, peanut butter or plain butter. I was impressed! But still at an Econo Lodge price. I'll be here next year.

10 stars for service if I could! Clean, comfortable room, smells clean and crisp. Clean floors, nice bed sheets, fabulous extras in the bathroom! Cotton pads, comb etc are usually a higher end hotel item, not a 3 star hotel expectation. People here really care about your happiness and comfort during your stay. Breakfast is put out early to accommodate workers. The "have a good day" note put a huge smile on my face, which was extremely welcome today!

The bathroom showed some signs of age, but was very clean. Towels weren't brand new, but also clean and have no scent.

Highly recommend! Faheem at the desk will do what he can to make you happy and your stay pleasant. Tell him hello!

I recently stayed at The Ecno lodge and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of sightseeing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, always greeting us with a smile and offering assistance whenever needed.

We usually stay at another hotel across the street when visiting Springerville. Rates increased, and the EconoLodge's reviews increased in recent months, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was half the cost of our usual place. The owner was polite and friendly while checking us in. We had two rooms for 3 people, for 2 nights. When we got to our room it was clean, but the condition was not on par with the cleanliness—beds, sinks & baths were stained. But the room was clean and it was dark outside and we were tired. As we settled in, we discovered the two nuts that hold down the toilet seat were both missing. When sat upon, it slid sharply to one side or the other. My wife almost fell to the floor. Showers were a bigger problem: the water kept changing temps quite a bit, and quickly. It was a plumbing problem. (I maintain plumbing for 4 houses and have install and fixed shower plumbing.) I asked the owner for a new room and he asked for a chance to fix the shower. OK. When we returned 11 hours later neither the shower nor the toilet was repaired. The owner said his guy repaired the shower but forgot about the toilet. Untrue. The shower problems were still present. He argued with me and actually said “Maybe you don’t know how to use that kind of shower?” Unbelievable. The carpet on the walkway was filthy. In one spot there was vomit that did not get cleaned the entire 3 days we were there. Next time we will pay more and stay where we usually stay.

It is a great value if you're visiting the Greer area. The staff is very friendly and breakfast is decent. The restaurant next door is very good so that's a plus. I'd work on a couple things:
Room lighting- rooms are too dimly lit, especially the bathroom.
Cleanliness- our floors were dirty, we had to clean them and so was the coffee maker.
Beds- mattress was way too soft for people with back problems.

All-in-all, would stay there again.

We visited family in the area so we needed a central place to stay. This was a perfect homebase. The room was clean and in order. The shower was great with hot water and plenty of water pressure. The bed was comfortable. Check in and out was smooth with super friendly staff. This is not a resort so don't expect a ton of amenities. That said there is plenty nearby to get what you need. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Positive: Location Negative: Absolutely everything. Hotel was beyond dirty! When you shower and walk across the floor to get your clothes, your feet are black! The lighting in the rooms Absolutely suck! It was so dark! You have 2 pillows per bed. Sheets were dirty. Towels were thin.
