We had the most beautiful reception at The Cottage in April of 2024!

Owner's Lisa & Scott worked personally for about 8 months with my husband and I creating the look and flow of our wedding reception. They both have so much knowledge and shared it with us throughout the process!

They also were very flexible and able to fit everything we wanted within our budget. Lisa pretty much has a small Hobby Lobby in her storage space that has so much amazing decor, and everything that fit my vision!

This is the place to go for an intimate wedding with great people that know what they are doing <3

The Cottage is a wonderful venue! Inside is beautiful and the outside courtyard is fantastic…perfect place to have any type of party and/or event! ! Lisa is super responsive and wonderful to work with during your planning and all the way through the time of your event. The Cottage is so clean, has ample parking options and has a great location. I can’t wait to host another event here as we couldn’t have asked for anything better! Such a fantastic experience!

The Cottage in every way exceeded our expectations! All of the attendees at the reception were amazed at the attention to EVERY detail! We all agreed that it was absolutely amazing, and certainly made “Party of the Year” status. Scott and Lisa have certainly found their niche. As host and hostess they are unrivaled! For small town Iowa to have such a venue is truly a blessing! Scott and Lisa keep up the good work and don’t change a thing!

It was such a neat place for our kids to celebrate their marriage! The venue was beautiful and we enjoyed the outside space! Scott and Lisa were very attentive and attention to detail is exceptional! Indianola is lucky to have such a cute venue that could be used for any occasion!

Absolutely loved it here. We did an all inclusive intimate wedding Oct 2023. Everything was beautiful. Lisa and Scott were so helpful and made the process so easy. Will definitely be recommending to everyone and hopefully we will be able to book for future events!

We held our small intimate morning wedding at The Cottage and it was everything we hoped it would be. Lisa was so accommodating and easy to work with. She met with me multiple times prior to the big day and fully carried out my vision. It was too cold for an outdoor wedding but we used the back yard for pictures and they were amazing! Such a gem for small gatherings in Indianola.

We hosted a baby shower for my daughter at the end of April. The Cottage was the perfect venue. The owners were so easy to work with, being very responsive and accommodating. The venue was clean and parking was easy for our guests. Having tables and chairs as part of the venue was so convenient. We were able to take our own food and drink and utilized the small (hidden) kitchen as necessary. The venue is beautiful as is, providing a neutral foundation for any type of event. We added baby shower themed decor, but it would have been fine without the themed decor. I highly recommend checking out The Cottage for any event! (P.S. I'm excited to see their new, additional outdoor area coming this fall!)
