The Molly Pitcher is a step back into Old World charm. My stay was comfy, cozy and quiet. I was impressed with the kindness from every person I interacted with. And the food was great! I'm usually very leery about hotel food, but the food (especially in the bar) was delicious and had generous helpings. Try the lobster roll sliders...fantastic!

I stayed overnight at this inn because I was attending a wedding here. Staff was very welcoming on a dreary bitter cold winter day. The lobby with a roaring fireplace and coffee was very welcoming as were the staff. The wedding was flwless---food, drinks, ambiance and service. it was very nice to be able to stay in same buildong overnight and avoid the elements. Virews are beautiful.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Molly Pitcher Inn. The room was incredibly comfortable, and I loved that the windows could be fully opened, allowing fresh air and natural light to pour in. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in – truly a dream.

The breakfast was outstanding, both in terms of food quality and the breathtaking views of the river. It was a serene and memorable way to start the day. A special mention to Sue, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and took the time to chat with me – her kindness truly enhanced the experience.

Overall, my stay was amazing, and I can’t recommend the Molly Pitcher Inn enough. I’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I just returned from a little “staycation” at the Molly Pitcher. Unfortunately we both wouldn’t recommend anyone visiting the Red Bank area stay here. First, some positives before talking about why this place was an overall let down.

Location: Realistically you only have two options if you want to stay IN Red Bank (Molly or Oyster Point) but you can’t deny the location is great for a night out on the town.

Service: Front desk staff, bartenders and waiters in the dining hall were helpful and polite.

On-site parking: The on-site parking is extremely convenient.

Now for the negatives,

Rooms: We opted for a standard room given the fact that we were planning on being out most of the night anyway. We didn’t expect much but for $194 after tax you kind of expect a decent room. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, the standard rooms here are insanely small. I opened the door and actually said “wow” lol. Again we really weren’t expecting much but it was a real shock how small the room was. On top of the size of the room, the tv channels were not working properly, the wall paper was peeling all over, the bathroom door wouldn’t even shut and there was no in room refrigerator to be found. I know this all might sound overly critical but again when you’re paying $194 for a standard room you kind of have basic expectations. We’re also aware the age of the Molly Pitcher and it being built in 1928 so maybe thats just part of the “old charm” I dk.

Bar: We stopped at the hotel bar at one point early in the night to grab a few drinks and were bummed to find no live music playing. Not detrimental but just a little bit of a let down.

Breakfast: The morning of checkout my wife and I decided to enjoy some breakfast in the dining room. 2 coffees, an omelette, waffles and 2 sides of bacon, $63. The service was great and the food tasted fine…then 3 hours later I was puking my brains out from what I can only assume was either bad eggs or spinach since you can imagine what was coming up. And look, things like that happen but it’s definitely not the way I want to enjoy my Sunday afternoon.

Overall, I think for the price you pay you’re not getting great value here.

Great hotel with a set of amazing staff. Ben at the night desk was awesome! Not only did he accommodate my room change request but he also went above and beyond to help me find cutlery when my uber eats order neglected to bring it despite my request. What an amazing level of guest experience, made my night!

Rooms and bathroom are dated but hotel/rooms are very clean and mattresses are super comfortable.

Will definitely stay here again, thank you Ben!

I recently had a baby shower in the Tea Room. Lauren was such a huge help and support during the planning! She was quick to respond with any of my questions, or changes. I had multiple guests with allergies but they were given delicious options.
The day of the event Christian and Anne were so helpful with any of our needs, as were our servers. I have had multiple events at different venues, but I dont think Ive ever been able to enjoy myself as much as I did at the Molly Pitcher. It was stress free due to the amazing staff! I highly recommend!

This place sucks. Plain and simple. Virginia in the bar is cool though!

The location of the hotel was perfect for our business trip. However, the service was the worst that I could have ever imagined. Bad, but I'm are there could be worse.

We checked in knowing that we would be out late and attending a corporate party. Asked for a late checkout, and we were told that our checkout time was moved to 12:30pm.

The housekeeping knocks and in-room calls, demanding that we get out, started at 9am.

We were first walked in on at 9am on checkout day. Our fault, we did not hang the privacy door hanger. We did explain at that point that we had a late checkout for 12:30pm and hung the privacy door hanger.

The next knock, "housekeeping" shout, and attempted entry to our room occurred at 10:50am. At which point I got out of bed, put on a t-shirt and opened the door to let the housekeeping staff know, again, that we were checking out at 12:30pm.

After getting back into bed, a few moments later, the room phone rang. It was the front desk. Demanding to know who told us that we could check out at 12:30pm. I explained that we were told by whomever was at the desk the morning before gave us that leeway. He said he "guesses that is ok then" and hung up on me.

At this point I decided to get out of bed and shower and get out. Thankfully i had locked the door with the inner latch, as when I was getting out of the shower, again the staff was attempting to open our room door, shouting housekeeping, while I stood wet and naked only a few feet away

Incidentally, the shower did not keep hot water throughout my 10 minute shower. No fun.

We will not be staying here again.

Positive: The location was very convenient to the Count Basie Center, restaurants, and stores. Negative: The room was very small and the configuration awkward. The location near the elevator and ice machine, as well as a very noisy heater and bright lights in the room made it uncomfortable. There was little hot water and not much water pressure. No coffee.
