Myself and a large number of work colleagues all stayed at this Courtyard hotel about 15 minutes drive from the office. The first thing that everyone will notice when checking in is how amazingly friendly everyone is. There is also ample free car parking available on site. The rooms are a little dated but are large and clean with everything that you could need.
The reception area contains a cafe/coffee shop that sells some food items and becomes a bar later in the evening.
The rooms all have large LG branded TVs with lots of good functionality although the colour definition and picture quality leave some room for improvement. Each room has a coffee maker sling with a number of coffee making bags.
In summary, if you are staying in the area, and you are a Marriott Bonvoy points collector, then this is a no-brainier. Everyone else though should certainly leave this on the list of possibilities.

The Front Desk staff here are wonderful and highly professional. I had a voucher for a Complimentary night to use and they were kind enough to upgrade me to a better room type, upon my request. We enjoyed our stay overall. The only issue seemed to be a couple maintenance concerns that need improvement. We noticed upon arriving that the toilet in the room was not functioning properly, because the flapper inside the tank was old and needed to be replaced, so this caused the toilet to continue to run non-stop when flushed. We immediately called the Front Desk to report this issue and they said that they would send someone to fix it immediately. But after waiting around for almost an hour, the maintenance guy who finally showed up did not actually do anything to fix the problem or replace the flapper. All he did was flush the toilet a couple times and clean up the water that was leaking onto the floor from the toilet. The bathroom sink also did not drain properly, as water in the sink was very slow and took a long time to drain. I reported this to the Front Desk upon Check-Out. One thing I forgot to mention though was that the water pressure in the shower was lacking. I was expecting to have much better/stronger water pressure in the shower. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again, but these maintenance issues make me think that the maintenance staff are not taking care of the property as well as they could/should be. More effort needs to be made to actually fix the issues correctly. Guests should not be experiencing multiple maintenance concerns in their room.

**Update: The gen manager Kiernan Newman did not address the restaurant issues & gave a "canned reply" - looks like they don't care how their customers are treated? Will he even address the bad behavior in the restaurant?

5 STARS goes to Tara at the front desk - she was absolutely the kindest & most welcoming person, & was always trying to ensure I had every single thing I needed & gave great restaurant advice. She is a ROCK STAR & deserves a huge raise - everyone should be as friendly & welcoming as she is!!!

Unfortunately the women who ran the food restaurant had horrible, angry attitudes & awful customer service - very gruff & I felt like I was putting them out just asking for anything. The one lady didn't show up one morning on time to open the restaurant, which made me late by 30 mins. Why be in this job role if you hate it? It shows & causes customers to be uncomfortable & not have a good experience.

My sister and I had to find a place near the red bank veterinary hospital. My dog was having a procedure that required 2 day stay. We didn’t want to drive the 2 hours home and back. This was perfect, the staff was great to my dog, they were very helpful suggesting places to eat. We enjoyed walking around downtown red bank. We were very comfortable and so was my dog. Clean, spacious and refrigerator and coffee maker.

Room had 3 stink bugs in it that i noticed (who knows how many more). When I mentioned it, I was told “yea its the season for them, I have them in my house too”. And that its “nature”. So because they are in your home, they should be in my hotel room?… Didn’t even spend the night. They didn’t want to compensate, refund, or do anything to justify or correct the issue. Rather disgusting in my opinion. If you’re comfortable with these roommates, then the hotel isn’t bad. But god forbid you’re uncomfortable. They won’t take you into consideration. Potential infestation and they say sorry and let you walk out. Robbery. I drove home after a wedding because I refused to stay here.

Rooms were okay. About what you expect for a Courtyard. Really what was lacking was service at this location. The front desk was empty many times me or fellow colleagues went up to check-in/check-out. The lady working the bar was incredibly rude, slamming bottles, getting visibly annoyed by patrons ordering a drink, and straight-up ignoring people. She would often disappear for long periods of time. People were asking her what was wrong and she would say "I just hate this job" or would tell them to not ask her any questions and to just order. One person ordered a drink and she said "I'm not making that" and walked away. I don't know if she just hates tips, but it was the worst customer experiences I've had at Marriott chain... Very surprising management or a supervisor did not step in at all to defuse the situation.

Microwave food options are a negative. Otherwise perfect for a night of rest and quiet. There is a persons serving a drink when needed but not really a bar to hang at…. Great location just off parkway. Close to shore options - sandy hook sea bright 10-15 minutes

Overall great stay! The ladies at the desk were so helpful with dinner recommendations and things to do in town! They even had a list of restaurants by types of food. This hotel is close to red bank which is the cutest place to walk around.
I stopped by the little bar in the lobby for drinks and got the best espresso martini I’ve ever had! The young girl who was bartending was so sweet and accommodating, my colleague asked for something special and she made it for him. I think her name was Ashlyn? Amazing service, Rooms were super clean and I love the access to the courtyard. Would definitely stay here again!
