We loved our stay at the resort. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed. The heated pool was a plus. Kids had fun at the game room areas. On site theater is an excellent option which comes with free popcorn for the family for a small renal fee. The resort is close to many places of interest (national park, lakes, hiking trails, etc.). We did not try the onsite coffee shop or the restaurant this time but the prices seemed reasonable. We definitely will come back in the future.

Our rooms condo was very spacious and well laid out. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Having the washer and dryer was nice. The balconies are great. The Petrified Forest and Painted Desert were a comfortable drive/ day trip.( Take food and water with you)
Flagstaff was a little longer drive but the 3 or 4 National Monuments are worth it. Get groceries on your way here

Staying here felt like being on the set of 'Gunsmoke', except with modern rooms and modern amenities.

The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the outside design of the buildings was really fun.

The pool and jacuzzi were both great, and the pool is even heated, but still very refreshing.

There's plenty to do on the compound, both inside and outdoors. We played horseshoes, ping pong, and tetherball, but there's plenty more than that to do.

There's a great little community around, too, with some great restaurants.

But the real draw of the area is all of the hiking and outdoor activities. There are several hiking trails of varying difficulty, and a lake with boat and kayak rentals not far from the room.

We stayed here the week of May 26th this year. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were beautiful! We had a two bed/two bath unit. It was very clean and spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked. The decor was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and there was a stack washer/dryer in the hallway. There was even a Murphy Bed pull out in the living area and a desk for anyone needing to work. There is a pond out back and a very nice gazebo. There are beautiful statues throughout the property. Overgaard is only and hour away from popular sites like Winslow, AZ, Petrified Forest/Painted Desert, and Meteor Crater. It was 40 minutes from Pinedale where the only Covered Bridge in Arizona is located. Tonto Natural Bridge is also an hour way. It is beautiful and is believed to be the largest natural bridge in the world. Overgaard is at a higher elevation at 6,627 ft, so it was cooler than the desert areas. Very nice weather when we were there... although very windy. There are shops and restaurants on property at Bison Ranch, including a hair salon. The locals recommended the Wild Women Saloon and Grill on property for a good place to eat. We were not disappointed... the food was great and they have home made chips that are delicious and different than any we have had. Highly recommend the Prime Rib Dip sandwich... so good! The only reason we gave it 4 stars is that the living room furniture, although beautiful, was not very comfortable. And since we were there a week, it did make a difference. Otherwise they would a 5 star rating for sure!

One of my favorite worldmark destinations so far! Nice rooms with no problems! Patios or balconies outside the master bedroom and the living room with a grill on one! Great location if you like the outdoors and there is plenty to do right there on site! They have a gazebo,fishing pond, horseshoes, fire pit, swimming pool and hot tub, a small arcade, gym, air hockey, pingpong, pool table, coffee shop/tap room, the wild woman saloon is on site and a few other shops. The 260 brewery and distillery is about 1/2 mile away! I would not do grocery shopping at the local store but there is a place 45 min. Away.

This was a delightful place to stay! Beautifully maintained, thought out spaces including a wonderful recreation center with games, small theater, cozy sitting / swinging spots, on-site restaurant and tap/ coffee lounge, & the friendliest of staff... they made my daughter feel very special, as we were there celebrating her bday. Will return.

We loved this resort! There was plenty to do and the staff was amazing! Davi was exceptionally great and helped us many times! My daughter loved going to the office to see her. We will be making the trip to Bison Ranch atleast once a year!

Bison Ranch is Wyndham resort with a fun old West style architecture. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and NO TIMESHARE SALES PITCH! The Internet connection wasn't the greatest because we had thunderstorms off and on the first three days of our stay, and that affects the Internet and TV. We enjoyed the spacious 2-bdrm, 2-bath apartment with a nice deck on opposite ends. The 2-bdrm unit actually sleeps 6...our bed was very comfortable. There was a queen sized Murphy bed in the living room. It appears furniture does not have to be moved in order to use it. The kitchen had most of what we needed for meal prep. for the week, and the living area is comfortable with a gas fireplace for the fall and winter. The resort has a very nice pool and spa, and also horseshoes, sand volleyball, and a gameroom. There was plenty of parking while we were there at no extra charge. There is a pretty good restaurant on-site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were there for dinner one night and had good service. You'll find that there's not a lot in Heber-Overgaard. There are some restaurants along the highway, but check their hours. Some are closed on Monday and Tuesday and some on Wed...some close at 2pm. You won't find big grocery stores in which to buy your food. You'll be very limited to Dollar General and a small, grungy lookinq old market. Show Low is 31 miles up the road, the closest bigger town where you can find plenty of groceries, CVS, Starbucks, etc. We had a very pleasant stay for the week and would highly recommend.
