A nice place to take a hike around the pond and enjoy the easy trails. A little flower garden outside the center.
Inside there are two turtles in a tank and a snake in another. They have a rapture showing but we were too early for it. They had displays of animal tracks, pottery, animals and more.

We were not there at the right time for the Raptor show so we saw the exhibits in the main hall and then took the trail to see the beaver dam - worth the time to see this! Also, if you see a door with a sign that says the doors lock behind you, we are responsible for that! We took the wrong door and got locked out - had to call to get them to let us back in! BTW the ladies that work there are wonderful!

The raptor show at 3 PM was fantastic! So cool. Make sure to get your tickets on the website. It's a little tricky to navigate. If you have too much trouble, just call them for help. Right now, the tickets are free, but they will start charging in the near future and will be worth it! The people there are really nice. We also did a nature walk on Saturday morning.

Such a cool and FREE experience. They have wonderful birds. All staff, including volunteers work very hard with the birds. We need more programs like this.

Visit the mountain center in the morning and get a free ticket for each person you are bringing to the show. Return to the show later in the afternoon for admission. Make sure to arrive 20 minutes early and get a good seat. It's a small bleachers seating area.

The owners/trainers pay for everything out of their own pocket and donations from those who come to the free show. And since it's free, please consider a donation. Bring the kids and enjoy! I'll be back next time I'm in town.

A fun and informative experience when visiting the area. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are lots of learning opportunities for young kids including hands on and touch & feel experiences.

Nearby trails are short, easy and have good views of the forest and flowers. There is also a pollinator garden to see butterflies and bees.

Overall, this is a great place to learn about the nature of the surrounding areas. Stop by and enjoy the outdoor space.
