Thank you to the team and staff! My baby's 1st birthday was a success and stress free. There were no complaints from our guest about the food or drinks. I needed to change the color scheme the day before and remove a platform ( I miscommunicated with the event planner), and they did it with no problem. There were no surprise bills either. I communicated my budget with Victor aka Vijay and he stuck to it. We had about 30 kids running wild with a bounce house and soft play area. I would host another event here in a heart beat.

Tamara Merritt & I (Dr. Brian Merritt), held our wedding and reception at the Excelsior of Saddle Brook-Catering establishment on November 9th, 2024. It was an amazing experience. The owner and facilitator catered to and customized our plans for our day which cultivated itself into an amazing experience for us, our family, & friends. We loved it!

The food was spectacular, the venue was immaculately kept, and the staff were amenable and professional throughout the entire afternoon/evening. A five-star experience! We strongly recommend and endorse this establishment.

I would STAY AWAY from this very shady owner. His name is Victor, real name is Vijay. He is very tricky. A lot of other reviews also say the same thing. I attempted to book my wedding here and he was doing nothing but making up a bunch of lies and forcing me to put a deposit down. Here are 2 examples of his many lies just to get our money.

1) the upstairs biggest room is split in 2. He claimed on one side you can easily fit 175-200 people easily with a dance floor. It would do max 125-130. He then retracted and said there’s no way it would fit after us leaving and coming back to put the deposit.

2) He then said the parking lot holds 400 cars. That’s a total lie anybody who’s been to this place can see it with their own eyes.

3) The food he offers is HORRIBLE. Do NOT get food from here if you plan an event. Cater from outside. Don’t believe me read the other reviews.

4) He says one price then he changes it up.

The place is not bad looking but if you want horrible service, bad food and lies, book your event here.

So where do I begin? Warning this review will be very long because I am going to be honest. So when we first booked the Excelsior in 2016 for our wedding May 2017 happened to quick because my husband loved it and didn't want to consider any other venues. I loved the gold trim and vintage look which matched my wedding colors. But I still wasn't convinced after all the negotiating that it was the hall for us. There were a few things and repairs that needed to be done. I wanted something more brand new marble floor, and a roof top ceremony better parking space. We ended up staying with the Excelsior because of affordability and Victor assured us that maintenance would be done by our wedding, plus we had already put $5000 down which wasn't refundable. The package that Victor the owner gave us was amazing. We had both our wedding and reception there and the transition was very easy. We went from a 250 guest count wedding to 350. Victor made sure my guest was well taken care of, his staff and set up was very spacious. All my guest gave us good report on the service. The food was good, the attendants was great. The cocktail room was packed, but everyone enjoyed the food. Everyone was well fed. Most of all we built an awesome relationship with Victor and he made sure we (bride especially) request and accommodations was met. It was a pleasure doing business with Victor. The cake company they work with did an awesome job with my wedding cake. The parking turned out to be well organized. There was valet and although there was another event taking place down stairs, they managed to fit all the cars and maintained the separation between the events going on.

Best venue ever...let's start with Victor..wow...what a amazing person he goes beyond to make sure u get everything u need we just had our wedding and I won't change a thing..everything was perfect beyond perfect..food was absolutely delicious ..the waitress ,bartender all of them went beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. All my guests were amazed about the service they love everything..Victor help us by recommend Dj eddy who did a impeccable job was fun elegant everyone dance all night excellent sound and music choice he has everything u need to have a entertainment party just fantastic..he also recommended the photographer wow..he was absolutely amazing professional make all of our guests comfortable while taking pictures his work is stunning my husband and i are soo grateful and extremely happy with the pictures..and yes Victor help us with the best decor he recommend her wich omg she did a spectacular job we did love everything..I can keep going on.. and on ...but let me tell u..don't look no more book with Victor u will get everything u need and more ..and in ur event day u won't be worried about anything he will take Care of everything and make sure u just have the best day of ur life...thank u Victor forever grateful...

Food n service was great up until an employee sent by the manager wanted to charge us $25 for bringing in MY preferred wine to share with my family. I guess they didn't appreciate much after booking their venue for my whole parish
