We booked an all inclusive hotel in Cancun for April 2019 a year in advanced with Cruise Concepts Inc, because they are a local company and I like giving local companies my business. We put down $1000 deposit so we could pay off the trip throughout the year. When airfare came out, for the week of my vacation I was floored at the SURGE pricing. We are not going to spend that kind of money on a SURGE pricing flight to get to Cancun. The flights a week before my vacation week are almost $800 cheaper. So I wanted to cancel my trip.

I checked the Hotel website to see what their cancellation policy was and they have a 100% refund if canceled before 30 days from the reservation date. Since we are almost 6 months from our vacation dates, I called Cruise Concepts to get a refund. They said they can only refund me $500. They blamed a "TOUR BOOKING" company and said because they booked through a TOUR that I could only get a $500 refund. As you can imagine, I was not pleased. I was willing to give them Cruise Concepts the $250 cancellation fee which is clearly marked on their invoice. But I could not understand why the additional $250, especially since I booked an All Inclusive Hotel and not a TOUR.

Cruise Concepts said there is nothing they could do, and the TOUR GROUP would do nothing for us. They said they used a TOUR GROUP because they have the best rates! Guess what, I could have booked directly with the hotel and received the same exact rates! Cruise Concepts said they could move my dates, ok great, GUESS WHAT, they wanted to charge me almost $800 more for the dates I requested. Again, I went to the hotel website and requested a quote, and received the same exact rates as I was quoted from Cruise Concepts. So this whole best rates from a TOUR GROUP is a bunch of BS.

After a lot of dealing with Cruise Concepts, I received only a $500 credit. I am writing to let everyone know, that if you are going to use CRUISE CONCEPTS to book a vacation, get all cancellations policies in writing, because if you have a problem and are expecting any kind of customer service from this business you will not receive any sort of service at all. I guess this is why travel agencies are becoming a thing of the past. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I use Cruise Concepts or a travel agent.

Lastly, I told them I would be writing this review on Google their response "Thank You"!

Wow what a team!!!!! I’m never booking my own travel again. I walked in there and they all got on the phone creating different options and prices. Danielle moved with my changes and last minute bookings with a smile and found me a flight out of the country for the very next day departing and this price was cheaper than ANYTHING I could find online searching myself. Awesome team work over here at cruise concepts!!!

All around great service! We try and book a trip a year from cruises and trips to the Atlantis. Every person we ever dealt with has been very profesional. Our next cruise is april 1st on Norwegian thanks to Leo and Adam
