Update to my previous review. Shelly the pharmacist is amazing! She was extremely kind and understanding of my situation. I was so relieved to be treated like a human. Even if someone can’t solve the situation if they are kind and explain what is happening it truly makes all the difference. Great customer service. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

Overall, it's a nice store. It's clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The prices are... the prices. They seem high but it's the same everywhere. The one negative aspect of the store is the layout, it is quite closed in. Most of the aisles have room for one cart going either direction and that's all. The cashier area also needs to be updated. When it's reasonably busy the folks waiting to check out block up that entire front section of the store.

I came here to leave a review on the deli at this Safeway more than anything. Before leaving this review however, I wanted to see if anyone had complained about the same issue before me. Three months ago someone left a comment saying exactly what I came here to say.

The deli needs to step up their game. Already 11 in the morning and their lunch isn’t out. The customer service is awful, specially the lady named Amanda. I was honestly taken back by the fact that she thinks she can just behave that unprofessionally and disrespectful to people in front of her direct supervisor Gale, and trust there will be no repercussions. I would go more into detail with the situation and how it happened but I don’t feel like typing and spending more of my time on this. I see I’m not alone in thinking this way.

Every time I go to Safeway, there's always a problem with the digital coupons. (See attached photo.) Even the store clerk tried for 5 minutes and couldn't get them to work so she had to get a store manager to override the scanned price. This is why I prefer grocery shopping at Walmart where they don't make you hassle with digital coupons to get the best price.

The worst excuse of a grocery store imaginable. One star for having food. If you like rude and inefficient this is your place. I work in small towns all over eastern Arizona I am in small town grocery stores every week. I dare you to find a worse more pathetic store within 100 miles, it can’t be done. This town and the people of this town deserve better.

Buyer beware. Safeway makes you play their coupon game and even with the coupon/app you often pay more than the competitor’s regular price. For example, Tillamook ice cream was $6.99 at Safeway. After the hassle of scanning each item to get the deals, the ice cream was $4.99. While I stood in Safeway’s 10 minute line, I checked Walmart’s price and it was $4.89 regular price. I used to dislike Walmart but I’ve come to realize their lines are often shorter, the isles are wider, you don’t have to deal with an app/coupons and you pay less for almost everything. It’s becoming difficult to find any advantage to shopping at Safeway.
