Liberty State Park presents Statue City Cruises. Statue City Cruises from Liberty State Park made the once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island quite easy and delightful.
Everything was stress-free, effective, and well-organized from the moment we arrived at the terminal. With polite staff assisting us at every stage and obvious signage, the boarding process went smoothly.
We were able to begin our trip without any needless delays thanks to the efficient and expertly conducted security procedures. The actual ship was spotless, roomy, and had lots of inside and outdoor seating.
The ferry's views of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Manhattan skyline were simply stunning.
One of the joys of our vacation was the ability to disembark at both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. At Liberty Island, standing up close to the Statue of Liberty was an awe-inspiring moment.
The museum offered intriguing details about the origins and building of this famous landmark. With its extensive history of immigration, Ellis Island was equally fascinating, and the audio tour featured gripping accounts of people who visited.
The personnel both at the islands and on board were polite, informed, and always willing to help. We were able to take our time and enjoy the experience because everything was well-managed despite the crowds.
The journey back was equally uneventful, and the breathtaking sunset vistas just enhanced the day's allure.
Anyone traveling to the New York City region should take one of Liberty State Park's Statue City Cruises. It provides a well-planned, picturesque, and historically significant experience that is ideal for singles, couples, and families. Strongly advised!

The parking lot is very spacious and also cheap. I also don't know if you should buy the tickets online because the price can be different. For example, we saw a price online and when we arrived at the terminal the prices were cheaper.

Great experience on the ferry ride. Really accessible and comfortable ride and the boats are available at different times throughout the day so you never have to wait too long for the next one.

Very good experience. Definitely recommended. We went on a weekday without advance tickets since we were not sure about our schedule. There was a bit of queue at the ticket office which is quite a walk from the parking lot. By the time my turn came, only general admission was available.
We narrowly missed one boat but it was good because we were first in the next one and easily got a seat in the upper deck. Very well maintained boats. The announcements were clear and informative about the history of the islands as well. The frequency of boats is decent. There's a food kiosk in the boat where you can get coffee, pretzels etc.
Definitely recommended

The Statue of Liberty cruise is a decent experience, but it might not live up to the hype. While the statue itself is iconic, it's not as tall as I expected, and seeing it up close was a bit of a letdown, especially since it was partially under construction during my visit.

On the positive side, Ellis Island is a fascinating piece of history, offering a glimpse into the past that's well worth exploring. The availability of day parking for just $7 is a big plus, making it convenient for visitors. The Ellis Island café also offers a nice restaurant with affordable food choices, which was a pleasant surprise.

The views around the cruise are lovely, with great sights of the various bridges and the skyline. However, the Statue of Liberty itself feels more like a one-time thing—worth seeing once, but not something I'd rush to do again.

The lines were incredibly long, making it quite hectic to reach the cruise, and there was noticeable mismanagement. However, overall, it’s still worth a try.

Great experience at the Jersey City port despite reluctantly visiting on a nice Saturday.

Large parking lot charges $7 per day paid by ticket. You can pay by credit card on the way out.

After a short walk and quickly getting through tsa-style security, we waited in the waiting area (about 20 minutes) for the next ferry to arrive.

The ferry has lots of room with two floors. It has a food/souvenir shop on the main deck. As expected, the ferry ride offers some amazing views of lower Manhattan, Liberty Island, Ellis Island and New Jersey.

After a short 15 minute ride you will arrive at Ellis Island. When leaving there, you can take the ferry to Liberty Island or the Battery. Once at Liberty Island, you can take the ferry back to Jersey City.

All staff we encountered at the Jersey City port, the ferries and islands were very nice and particularly accommodating to those who are mobility impaired (young children, older folks, wheelchair-bound).

Be sure to stick around Liberty State Park before or after your trip as there is lots to see in the area: amazing lower Manhattan skyline photos ops, 9/11 Memorial, and the Liberty Science Center.

For reference, the Jersey City port was a smoother operation than the Battery port in lower Manhattan...granted the Battery has much more visitors.

I visited Liberty Island a few weeks prior from the Battery port and the the processing of getting all of the people through security took about an hour on a Friday afternoon as opposed to about 5 minutes on a late Saturday morning in the Jersey City port.
