Good business hotel near Whippany, nice restaurant across the street. Met expectations.

Newer Fairfield, was upgraded to a King suite for 1 night.

Everything in the room was really new, bed comfortable, couches comfortable, appreciated all the modern lighting that made the room bright. Standard bathroom, did not love the water pressure.

Adequate Fairfield standard buffet breakfast, oatmeal was instant and only had quiche and cage-free egg sandwiches and no scrambled eggs.

Gym was a decent size and they had an indoor pool that I didn’t try.

Restaurant across the street was nice and open until 2am so I was able to grab a late bite. No frills hotel, would stay here again if in the area.

The hotel is fine. My review is specifically about the EV charging setup. I called the hotel a week ago to confirm they have Chargers. It would have been nice if they had told me that their chargers have been broken for 3 months. Having Chargers so that I'll come and stay the hotel only to find out that they are all broken and have been for a long period of time is really terrible. I ended up having to leave the hotel and go sit in some movie theater parking lot at a Tesla charger. 8 mi away. Don't stay at this hotel if you have an EV. There is 100% absolutely no guarantee that you're going to be able to charge your car here. There's other hotels in the area that have working Chargers but you have to stay at those hotels in order to use their chargers. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you have an EV unless you don't mind driving somewhere else to charge your car and waiting for it to complete instead of sitting in your hotel room chilling.

The hotel looked beautiful and chic decor with being a great location near restaurants and gas stations. All staff were friendly and warm and made check in/out very simple and quick. My room was cozy and very clean, with the TV welcoming my by name when I turned it on! Breakfast was quaint and delicious. I will definitely be starting here again.

After spending our day in New York to see a play, my friend & I decided to stay overnight in New Jersey. We ended up here and Garfield(Front Desk) graciously greeted us as we arrived late that evening. He was so welcoming & quickly got us checked in to our room which was very clean. Beds were super comfortable & we also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast which was quite extensive. My only suggestion would be to make the tub/shower area safer. It was very slippery and I was relieved that I didn’t fall. Perhaps some nonslip grips of some type would help. Also an additional grab bar at the other end of the shower would help. Other than this I definitely will be returning and staying here rather than paying much more for a hotel in New York. And again Garfield was awesome! His wonderful attitude would be a reason to keep us coming back to this Marriott. Absolutely enjoyed being here!

Three day booking, had to fill out a Credit Card authorization form Not sure for what since I was there personally with ID and card in hand. Had an unauthorized charge on my card, no room service in all three days. Had to use hand towels after showering. Been there on three other occasions, never had an issue. But this one time ruined it for me. Never again. Is pretty expensive to have to deal with all of the above. We’re sorry, doesn’t cut it, do better Mr Tyler.

This place would be a good stay but the kitchen staff has no compassion for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. You’ll ask the kitchen staff for an alternative and they are not only not amenable/unhelpful but rude toward customers.

We had an unfortunate event while we were staying at the Hampton Inn diagonally across the street from the Marriot Fairfield. There was an unexpected fire early this morning and the entire hotel had to be vacated. We were lucky enough to get rooms this morning at the Marriot Fairfield Inn however, the front of the house staff particularly Rachel was extremely rude and inconsiderate. When a request was made and ultimately denied she tried to hide her identity. At first, her name was R then when I asked her full name, she said Lillian. I had to find out from the Porter what her real name was. Front of house is the first point of contact for any guest. They should be extremely welcoming and offer help to guests if and when needed. Being in the hospitality industry myself, I urge management to Re-train front of house staff.

I like this hotel for everything it offers, the rooms are great and so is the service. Everything is clean and absolutely makes you feel at home (I stayed here for 5 nights in a row). Admittedly though, the location could be better. There's not a whole lot of variety in restaurants right next to it, most of them are more like a diner and you have to go down Route 80 a bit for something different, but maybe only a 10 minute trip. The actual worst thing though is that traffic is a nightmare between 7 am and 9 am right outside this place. Everyone is trying to get onto route 80 and sometimes it takes a while just to get out of the parking lot.
