Anil (the owner) was very great from start to finish. He was very friendly, professional, accommodation and personable. Alpine Haus was quiet and comfortable. Just what we wanted. The breakfast was delicious. We stayed there for 2 nights while we went to Mountain Creek resort just down the road. Anil is the type of person to go out of his way to mail personal belongings that are left behind by guests. Just a very great person. Hard to come by these days, so when you do it is refreshing. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely be a return quest here. Thank you so much Anil. You really made our stay exactly what we were looking for.

I stayed with daughter for a ski weekend. Anil, the owner of the hotel was very welcoming and attentive through out. Is really close to Mountain Creek (5 min walk) The room was good, clean, warm. Nice View. Close to places for launch and dinner . Breakfast was great!!!

This hotel is a five-minute walk from the Mountain Creek resort. Breakfast was really delicious. The owner, Anil, was very nice and friendly. Told us stories about his life while we had our breakfast. We will definitely come back again.

This is a unique and exceptional B&B, like they used to be. The property is spotlessly clean and tidy, exquisitely decorated and well maintained. The quality of linens and towels is amazing and it is clear that high quality detergents are used to keep them in perfeect condition. The breakfast experiece is incredible - a different dish freshly cooked every day,, as well as fresh fruit, cake, cereals and anything you may need to feel at home. The owner, Anil, is always there to greet guests, cook & serve breakfast and make you stay perfectly comfortable. No surprise that he gest lots of repeat &standing customers. Definitely the place to stay if you are in the area. Book early, because weekends are usually full house!

My lady loved the place , her first ever traditional B and B , and there is much to recommend it , especially if one enjoys hiking ( and fall foliage ! ) . Now , Vernon Valley , known for New Jersey's trendy and expensive ski resorts , offers surprisingly few lodging ( or dining ) options : either roadside motels or the pricy resorts . That makes Alpine Haus the only real alternative : a bit of an oasis , and certainly a bucolic one . Arnei , the owner , prepares delicious , balanced breakfasts , but being alone , is fussy about the timing ..... so set your phone alarm ! The view from the second floor porch was perfect for our early October stay , with a sweet view across the valley enhanced by fallen leaves ( the forested ground drops off steeply from the back yard : we even observed Turkey Vultures at almost eye level ! ) . There were no other patrons during our three night stay , so the comfy , book filled lounge was all ours .... and in such a haven , I never enjoyed seeing the Mets beat the Phillies more ! ...... Now , this is an old house with relatively small rooms and no closets ; more wall hooks would help , so pack accordingly ( I hung my shirts on the tall bedposts ! ) . Likewise , try to plan your trip midweek in spring or autumn : I hate crowds and having the Haus all to ourselves was certainly precious for a romantic getaway . By the way , Arnel will certainly point out to you which restaurants to avoid or visit , and he really knows what he is talking about ! ..... My gal will be very happy that I finally posted this !

We really enjoyed our weekend at The Alpine Haus! Yes, it is quaint, meaning the furnishings are a bit on the older side, but Anil, the owner and host, is so welcoming and helpful that none of that matters. We stayed in the Violet Suite and we were very happy! The gas fireplace warmed us up on a rainy morning, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast times were assigned and Anil was always there in the dining room with a welcoming word and some delicious food! There are a lot of things to do nearby, such as visiting the Warwick Winery, and the downtown area of Waldwick, but we also enjoyed relaxing in our room, watching TV and enjoying the fire. We were sorry to have to leave on Sunday, and would definitely return to this lovely place!

I spent 2 nights at Alpine Haus with my husband to celebrate my birthday. It was lovely, cozy and comfortable with a fireplace in the living room and in our room. Anil was a wonderful host with good suggestions for local restaurants. The breakfasts he made at the inn were amazing. Anil made us feel special. Stay here and you will relax and enjoy every minute.
