The staff is very welcoming and accommodating! The resort was so amazing! I went on my birthday with my best friend and we had a great time! Will definitely return! The heated pools, hot tubs and the steam room was the highlight of our trip! The kites restaurant was really good for all food, breakfast, lunch and dinner!

The place was clean, the views were nice, the gym was accessible and met my preferences, and the facilities and activities overall were really great for elementary aged kids. The small shops nearby were also very quaint and gave a warm, small town feeling which was a nice break from the fast pace and commercial tone of NYC shops. The heated outdoor pool was one of our favorite experiences for our winter getaway and was really novel to my 5 y.o. niece. ||The top thing about the experience was the staff, particularly at the front check in/out desk, at the scheduled activities, and the animal specialists. Rachel was the woman who helped us check in and out and her manner and effectiveness and positivity definitely set the tone for the start and end of a great trip. I don’t know the name of the man who ran the clay shooting and archery on February 21, but he was so great at his role, in spite of having to help newbies of all ages enjoy activities that are not easy and in frigid temps. The 2 animal specialists (on Feb 20 & 21 )were kind, adaptable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and created an encouraging and exciting learning experience for the kids of all kinds of personalities. Salazar and Ashley the magician put on a genuinely funny and entertaining show accessible to kids and adults. The woman skillfully running the glow in the dark bingo after dinner hours on Feb 20th kept a potentially chaotic activity really organized yet really energized. The other staff were great but these 6 particularly were so patient, kind, positive, and helpful with me, my family, and literally everyone around us. ||Some things to improve:|* food quality and choice at the night buffets didn’t seem worth the money, especially for kids|* although there are other drinks accessible at all times, you should have a water station or pitchers at buffets instead, to keep up with the busyness and not leave the guests without water often|* the room was clean but, maybe due to the age of the facilities, my super highly-sensitive allergies were heavily triggered, which often happens in hotel rooms that are old and therefore may have mold or such things in the fabrics|* the extra blankets in the closet should have some sort of assurance that they are new and fresh |* the bathrooms seemed updated and extremely clean, but the sliding door was broken, hard to use, and even fell out when we were gently sliding it |* although the activities offered were fun and enjoyable, the winter visit could really benefit from a few updates and additions to the activities to make the money truly worth it; maybe get suggestions from visitors of all ages for what they would like to see|* the game room is something my niece and I truly enjoy but it could either use a huge renovation, better selection of games available, and a significant price decrease (or even more of them being free, especially since it’s an “all inclusive” resort); for reference, it was $1-2 to play most of the games that we enjoy but are also very quick and cheaper at arcades in NYC|* switch glice skating to ice skating; there were 2 families trying to use it other than us and although I and other adults were experienced skaters, it was difficult for us to even move decently and it was a horrible first experience to ice skating for the 4 kids giving it a good try. ||Positives for the other resort…|*oddly , my niece really loved the architecture, fireplace seating, and general vibe of the bigger Cascades resort that we had some access to, as did the adults in my party|*The restaurant staff there was amazing, the food quality and choice was particularly great (esp dessert!)|* the photo-op snow globe and s’mores campfires were especially loved by my niece and other kids I saw||Thank you for our stay, especially for the helpfulness and kindness of almost all the staff we encountered!

The overall experience was fine. The reason for the visit was a mother /daughter trip, while my daughter was home from college. I had scheduled massages for us and we both needed some catching up time and relax time. We are both really crafty. I thought when booking how great they had a sip and paint. Not that I thought for two seconds my 19 yr old daughter was gonna sip, while painting. We would have loved the paint part greatly! I feel the option of not sipping while painting should have been there. Instead of a flat out no!

I recently stayed at the Crystal Springs Resort Mineral Hotel for a spontaneous birthday treat to myself, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional—thanks in large part to Rachel at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, Rachel’s personable and extremely helpful demeanor set the tone for a wonderful stay.
Rachel went above and beyond in every interaction. I witnessed her upgrade a couple’s room simply because she sensed their good vibe, which, in my opinion, is a reflection of her own good energy. She extended my checkout time by an hour, allowing me to enjoy my stay without feeling rushed. And let me tell you, I asked her at least twenty questions (some of which I repeated—oops!), and she patiently answered every single one with a smile.
The facilities were excellent—the spa, gym, jacuzzi, and pool were pristine and fully equipped, and the locker room was immaculate. Even the breakfast choices at the restaurant accommodated my Daniel Fast dietary needs, which was such a pleasant surprise. Every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations, but Rachel truly was the icing on the cake.
Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to ensure guests have a great experience deserve recognition. Rachel expels the best to those she serves, and she deserves nothing but the best in return. Crystal Springs Resort is lucky to have her!

I booked this hotel while traveling for my daughter’s competition, and while I knew it was an older, somewhat rundown property, I did not expect the horrifying experience we endured.
Upon checking into our room—which was located at the very end of the hallway—I immediately noticed that the interior door lock was not functioning properly. While the door locked from the outside, I felt uneasy about the lack of proper security inside the room.
The real nightmare began around 12 AM, when an extremely loud and disturbing situation unfolded in the adjacent room. A couple began screaming and making distressingly loud sexual noises, which I initially hoped would subside quickly. However, this continued for hours, lasting from 1 AM until nearly 5 AM. My daughter was asleep at first, but she woke up at 4:30 AM due to the constant banging and disturbing sounds. This couple must have been on serious drugs.
At this point, I called the front desk, only to be told that the hotel does not have any on-site security—which was alarming in itself. They asked me to identify the room causing the disturbance, but I refused, as I was already uncomfortable and unsure about the situation. The front desk staff said they would check on it, but at that point, the damage was done.
This was an incredibly distressing and traumatizing experience for both my daughter and me. The lack of security, the faulty door lock, and the extreme noise disturbances make this hotel an unsafe and unsuitable place to stay—especially for families. I would strongly advise against staying here, particularly if you are traveling with children or value peace of mind when it comes to safety and security.

Our stay at Minerals Hotel was extremely disappointing to say the least. It was an odd set-up, felt like walking into a gym. Well, turns out it is a gym with membership options for locals. The pool area was decent, but fountains weren't working, and again the membership aspect was obvious.
Room: our room was run-down and dingy. There was noise (construction) above our room. When we called the first night, they stopped. The second night they told us "no" when we asked if they could stop. No robes or bathtub, which was disappointing. Also, a door fell off the cabinet in the bathroom.
Restaurant: we felt deceived by the various dining options on the website. It turns out you need to drive 7 minutes to the lodge. We ventured out to local dining options rather than the lodge. The breakfast buffet was good, but pricy. The restaurant bathroom had blood on the toilet paper!
Room Service: didn't answer
Spa: there wasn't availability

We recently stayed at this resort, and while it has great potential, there are several areas that need improvement. The rooms are adequate, but cleanliness could be better - we found sticky floors and hair on the bed. The rooms closet door was also broken.
The walls are extremely thin, allowing us to hear everything from the adjacent room. The staff's friendliness was also lacking, which didn't help create a welcoming atmosphere.
One major inconvenience was the separation of the Minerals and Cascade Lodge, requiring a 5-minute drive between the two. This takes away from the vacation vibes, having to bundle up to go into the car, driver over to the other hotel for the pool etc.
The hallways were freezing, making it uncomfortable to move around the resort. Navigating the hotel's interior was like solving a maze, and the lack of clear signage made it difficult to find activities. Staff members weren't always helpful, and some even provided incorrect directions.
Another issue was the activity reservation system, which required booking a week in advance. This made it difficult to be spontaneous and enjoy the moment.

If you need a getaway from the world, this is where you want to go! It's conveniently located near New York so the drive to the resort was super simple. They provide you with a full list of activities for the week and weekend of your stay. There's so much to do that I was ready to extend my stay just to experience it all! The food, the leisurely, the atmosphere...man this resort is truly a hidden gem. Experiencing a huge snowstorm while relaxing in the outdoor heated pool is such a rare and beautiful site! It's family friendly with tons of this for kids and parents to enjoy! If you want to enjoy it like I did, leave the kids home and take in the peace and quiet.
