We absolutely LOVE Basil Place!! We could of not picked a more perfect venue for our June wedding! We booked the full weekend package where we had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and overnight stay all at the venue. It was so nice that we were able to have all of our events at one location and that we were able to stay at the venue the whole weekend long. It made it so easy for our wedding party, close family, and us to have an easy going and joyful weekend altogether! Michelle, the owner and coordinator of Basil Place was more than accommodating of our needs, she went above and beyond for us! She was always there answering all of our questions, let us set up early on the Friday before, allow us to bring our dogs, and even allow us to incorporate our very own tradition on the grounds of the venue! We got to be the very first couple to start the "Buried Bourbon Tradition" at Basil Place. The tradition is to bury a bottle of bourbon on the grounds of your wedding venue, a month before your date. Once the ceremony is over, the couple digs up the bottle and shares a celebratory drink with the wedding party and family. The tradition says it will bring good weather and good luck. It truly did bring us lots of luck, because it poured for hours before our ceremony. It stopped raining about 30 minutes before guests arrived, the sun came out, and we had a perfect rest of the day! We LOVE Basil Place so much and we truly had the best wedding weekend!

Basil Place was the most magical backdrop for our wedding day. Their grounds are absolutely stunning and so large that you can host a weekend full of events without even using every space.

We did the weekend package which allowed us, our wedding party and our parents to spend the night on Friday and Saturday, making our timeline completely seamless! Truly would pick this venue over and over again. Hopefully one day we will have another reason to celebrate here!

We just had our daughter's wedding at Basil Place this past weekend and everything was phenomenal! The venue was gorgeous, the food was amazing, and Michelle went above and beyond to make things perfect. The ceremony on the lake with the view of the leaves starting to change colors was gorgeous! The sunset views outside the barn were breathtaking! The guys spent the day of the wedding having fun and getting ready in the manor home, which was large enough to accommodate all who wanted to watch football, play games, eat, drink and get ready for the big day. I spent the day with the girls in the carriage house which was awesome! The ceremony on the lake, the cocktail hour outside the manor house, the reception in the barn and under the tent was all so spectacular! I can't count how many people at the wedding told me that this was the best wedding they ever attended! The view, the grounds, all the accommodations were spectacular! I can not rave enough about our wedding at Basil Place!

We got married at Basil Place on May 25, 2024 and it was the most fun day of our lives. We were able to stay overnight at Basil with our wedding party which made it an even better decision. Plus, getting to bring our stuff from home earlier in the week was such a stress reliever.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Basil Place, and it was nothing short of magical! The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with the stunning pond and foliage and elegant indoor spaces that created the perfect ambiance for our special day.

What truly made Basil Place wonderful was the owner, Michelle. She was always there to answer questions and provide recommendations for other vendors. Her warmth and generosity made us feel special.

Thanks to Michelle and the beautiful setting of Basil Place, our wedding was a dream come true. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a stunning location and outstanding service!

Absolutely breathtaking and elegant. Oh my goodness, this place is a DREAM! My goddaughter had her baby shower there this past weekend and I fell in love with the venue from the moment I was driving up the driveway! The outside is majestic and sophisticated, and the inside is so classically tasteful and magnificent! We were all joking that we want to live there! What I loved about this venue in addition to all of its custom details is how warm and intimidate it felt. It was escaping reality and temporarily living in a dream-come-true! Highly highly recommend for any event. My sister is booking this for her MIL’s birthday party this spring. Michelle, the owner, is a complete delight to speak with and expressed so much gratitude to the guests. Now I am trying to think of something I need to book a place for so I can come back!!!

As soon as we took a tour of Basil Place, we just knew that was where we wanted to get married. We did not look any further. Basil Place is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and very well kept. It was the perfect venue for our dream wedding. The staff was phenomenal. They were extremely flexible and willing to help with anything we needed. Both Michelle's and Eric were professional and very easy to work with leading up to and on our wedding weekend which made it less stressful for us.
The amount of compliments we received from our guests was unreal. It truly is the all in one package deal for a venue. We did not leave the property for additional pictures, there are so many photo opportunities directly on the property. If you are considering Basil Place for your wedding venue, look no further. Our dream was brought to life on 7/22/22. Thank you for the best weekend of our lives surrounded by so many family and friends.
