Had the best time at the Winter night out Hoedown event they had in January. The music was great, the food was fantastic, and the drinks were flowing. The atmosphere was fun and the barn was full of conversation, laughs and tons of dancing. I truly had an incredible time with old friends and some new friends and can’t wait for their next one!! Maybe an 80’s and 90’s dance party!! lol

Love everything about this venue. We booked it right after taking a tour of it. The first thing Janelle asked was if we had looked anywhere else and then said this would be the last place we would look cuz we would love it that much. She was right! It’s the perfect rustic style. They’re in the process of remodeling a romantic guest house. They allow you to choose your own caterer. You’re able to rent decorative items from them, such as arches, or table cloths. Super friendly and wonderful experience. Can’t wait to have our wedding here!

Update after the wedding:
-Money hungry. When we were doing payments, there was some sort of percentage fee to pay with a credit/debit card that we didn’t know about. I’d suggest updating your systems, it’s 2020, there’s no need to charge a fee for not using cash.
-The guest house was crazy expensive for one night. There were no deals available for if you booked your wedding venue with them either.
-We barely had enough time to decorate. They were gonna charge us $100 or so extra for an additional hour of decorating the night before. From what I understand, the venue is entirely free that week of your wedding, so I’m not sure why we weren’t able to come in and decorate to the best of our ability without having to worry about rushing and getting everything done in a short period of time. Weddings are already stressful as it comes.
-Finally, our biggest regret was the day of coordinator!! 0/5 stars for her! To say we were highly disappointed is an understatement. We didn’t get to meet with her prior to the wedding, so she had no idea who we were, and what we expected of her. We paid extra just to have her because we were assured she would make our day 100% stress free and easier on us. But she didn’t. We did provide a list of things we wanted her to do, but she failed to do those. She was supposed to help the groom and groomsmen with tying their ties and putting their boutonniĆØres on...our photographer ended doing that because she didn’t know how. We had chairs set up in the front for close family members to sit, asked her to guide them there, however all the chairs were empty. She rushed me, as the bride, to hurry up because we were running slightly behind schedule. Because of being rushed, our photographer was unable to take any photos of just me as the bride, or much photos of my bridesmaids and I. It was such a waste of money. I could keep going on and on about how horrible the experience was with her.
Our suggestion to make this experience better is have the day of coordinator actually meet the bride and groom beforehand. Have a sit down and get to know them. If she is there to make the day 100% stress free and to fulfill the bride and grooms needs, she needs to know what her duties are and what is expected out of her. Ours was completely clueless on what was going on, as if it was her first day on the job.

Needless to say, our guests loved this venue. Everyone kept making comments on how beautiful it was, which we couldn’t agree more on.

Great place to have a wedding. There is a beautiful wedding there today and the place was perfectly heated even in 3° weather.

It was nice but really large and I like a smaller area I also think where they do their vows should have been a little more detailed....

The venue is terrific, the owners are very nice, 5 stars for those, our reception was enjoyed by our guests (until caterer ran out of food), but our wedding coordinator left a lot to be desired. She did not instill confidence in us and repeatedly asked us the same stuff. She would call and ask about a particular item that she said she was out picking up, then a week later call about the same item saying she was out picking it up! Which of course made us wonder if she was just telling us things to make us think she was doing something. Our picture for the guests to sign was given to us in a broken frame which she said would be replaced with a new one the following Monday. We're still waiting over a month later. At the reception she kept asking us what we wanted to do next, even though we had given her a schedule. She would answer our texts with a reply of "what?" or even "who is this?"! Apparently she deleted our contact info after every text. We had told her we wanted her to handle everything so we could just enjoy ourselves, but after repeatedly answering questions numerous times, needless to say we were both stressed wondering if things would go as planned. I could go on, but enough is enough.
So 5 stars to venue and owners, but 1 star to planner.

P.S. The owners did compensate us for the food shortage!

This venue is beautiful. When we came to visit it while planning my wedding we instantly fell in love. However my experience has been quite horrible. My wedding was supposed to be held here on June 12 2020. When I found out I was pregnant in September of 2019 I reached out to the owners telling them we would need to reschedule and that as soon as I have a date we will contact them with that and see if it is available.
They told me this is would be okay and to let them know when we had dates to reschedule.
In the beginning of 2020 I received an email from the owner saying they will be canceling my reservation since I haven’t been paying on it.
There was never a payment plan written up, my contract stated that X amount was due so many weeks prior to the wedding (it was not within those weeks when they contacted me)
I told them I did not want it canceled and wanted to reschedule, I explained again that I was pregnant and we were still in the process of rescheduling with our photographer (who is also not communicating well) and our cake baker.
I was told that would be okay, and we were going to discuss dates they had available for June 2021

I was then told that my deposit would not carry over to 2021. Regardless of the fact that pregnant or not I can not hold my wedding here on the original date due to a pandemic!!!
So regardless of my pregnancy I would not have been able to have my wedding in the original date, and now I am out all of the money I used as a deposit. I’m truly disappointed in the treatment we have received.
As beautiful as this venue is I wouldn’t recommend it to a soul because of how un-understanding these greedy owners are.
To penalize someone during a pandemic when over half of the nation is out of work and the governor will not allow gatherings of more than 10 people. I would be silly to spend $6,000 on a venue to have 8 people attend.

My sister and I were gifted tickets to the Murder Mystery. It was a fun and interesting evening.
The round (hexagonal) barn is an amazing structure.
The hosts, Tim and Janelle, are very helpful and prepared a tasty meal.
