Our salon booked a work outing in August 2023. On our way from Cleveland to Marysville we received a call from Bob canceling our flight. He offered a morning flight, since we had booked a hotel for the evening. He never contacted us on Sunday morning nor did he answer the phone.
We have called/txt/emailed several times over the last year. And have never had an answer to any of our attempts.
If he cannot fulfill his obligation to his patrons then he should not take full payment upfront. And if so he should offer a refund.
I hope that he stops this unfair practice of business.

This was the most memorable ride of a lifetime. I originally had a ride scheduled for a proposal flight in September and they stayed in communication to get the ride done for me since we had to cancel for weather and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Bob and Russ were fantastic. This is the ONLY place I would recommend for a hot air balloon ride.

We had the balloon ride on Thursday August 5th. It was a really really good experience which I can not express in words! It was awesome, superb, fantastic and well organized.

Sadly the same experience as most on here. We paid up front and scheduled for the next week, but Bob cancelled on us the night before. We scheduled for the next weekend which he again cancelled the night before. He offered for the following weekend, which I accepted, but he never responded after that with confirmation.

Seeing lots of reasons regarding health, but if you're too sick to fly, then don't accept people's money. I too have requested a refund and called multiple times with no response. $600 down the drain. You're better off giving your money to a charity if you want to take a balloon ride with Fly Ohio Ballooning.

8/19/24 - Coming up on ONE YEAR of me trying to reschedule flights with Bob Scobee. Now he is not answering my calls or texts. He is either a petty con man or delusional.

I paid for a balloon ride in 2023. He said there was no money back. During that year, we scheduled 3 or 4 times and each time it got cancelled due to “weather”.

Now that it is 2024, I can’t even get in touch with Bob. If I had to do this all over again, I wouldn’t do it. If you are reading this…. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR BALLOON RIDE! Save your money!

My wife scheduled a flight in July for me for my birthday and another couple for their anniversary and paid in full in advance. That was our first mistake. Our first flight was canceled due to weather which is understandable but when we tried to reschedule we were ghosted for 10 days. After several unanswered calls and emails Bob finally responded and we scheduled another flight which was once again canceled the evening before. This happened several more times and we finally demanded a refund to which he said absolutely not. After my wife informed him that we were prepared to file a small claims against him and if we were successful we would then file a lien against his business he then contacted us and said he could take us the next morning but he didn't have enough flight crew to land and deflate the balloon unless we could help. Reluctantly we decided to give it one last try and actually took our flight. I would absolutely recommend taking a balloon ride but DEFINITELY NOT WITH THIS COMPANY!! Do your research, read the reviews and check out the BBB also.

No response to multiple attempts to communicate (calls, voicemail, email, and texts). Two balloon rides have been paid for, for over a year. Each time we scheduled in 2022 it was cancelled due to the weather (I understand but there was never follow up to try to reschedule) and with our busy schedules we decided to wait until spring 2023 to try again. I tried reaching out two months ago and have tried multiple times since then with no luck. I've left messages and texts to request a refund so I can find another balloon company but have received no response. Would appreciate contact and guidance on what to do from here.

I booked a flight with bob at the end of June 2023. Paid 650.00 up front. we scheduled 5 different times with Bob. our ride was cancelled each time by bob for many reasons including in hospital, at Dr. office, out of town. After 5 weeks of back and forth and him completely ignoring us for 10 days and given the above excuses. we threated to take him to small claims court with copies of all the text and all of his excuses. Then we became a priority and got our awkward ride. it was beautiful but didnt enjoy as much as we should have because of all the trouble. when considering this company do not pay in full up front. he has more excuses than flights i believe.
