Multiple mice, climbing the stone wall and running under furniture like this was their home and comfortable around humans that were not comfortable around them. Did not make for an enjoyable trip, let alone the dozens of dead flies. I have pictures to prove both accounts in case ownership wants to claim being one sided like they have on other reviews I see. Stayed less than 5 hours of a 2 night trip and ownership blamed us for not staying while not giving us a refund. Steer clear!

Edit to add** I'll post the email too since you want to say that my "tone" was wrong... No I asked for some decency while asking for a refund. Which your company lacks... Your first words on the phone were, we got your email and no refund, without even attempting to talk it out which by the way the email was sent 2.5 days prior to the phone call that YOU did NOT make.

I have an upcoming wedding that I’m officiating here at Secluded Cabins.

Aside from another map platform getting me lost upon arriving very near this beautiful bucolic destination, everything else was lovely!!

Sharon was a true professional as she took us on a tour. There are cabins for getaway status that I haven’t seen yet but will for certain on the wedding weekend.

The vast space outside with features every way you turn, the indoor event facility was lovely and I’m very excited to have my couple’s wedding here October 15.

I will update my review at that time but I’m guessing it’ll still be 5 star fabulous!

UPDATE: the wedding went beautifully! The owner is phenomenal! The cabins are incredible. I highly recommend using this incredible “Off the beaten path” gem of a venue!!!!

Extremely disappointed. This wasn't me first stay at the Hummingbird cabin, but it'll definitely be the last. We stayed 2 nights. As soon as we got there, the hubby noticed the roof was leaking. We called the owner and he already knew, which I thought was odd. Why rent out a place that leaks? The mold was out of control! By the second day I was coughing uncontrollably. We are both very sick now. Do. Not. Stay. Here.

My husband and I just enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Hummingbird Hideaway. It was incredibly peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. Easy check-in/out and most everything you could need. The hot tub was wonderful and the highlight of our stay. We used the kitchen for all of our meals & had everything we needed for 2 days. The only reason I rate it with a 4/5 is because the fireplace shown on the website looks real, yet upon arriving it is an electric one placed in the original hole and does not provide much heat. We did stay in January so it got dark early but I feel more light (via lamps or brighter bulbs) would be helpful. I felt the bed was rather hard but that is all personal preference so they won't win with everyone on that one! Overall, a nice, local weekend away for us.

Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hummingbird Hideaway! It is super cute and the perfect size for a couple to get away for a few days.

Pros:
Again, really cute little place. Very basic but in a good way! Everything was really clean, the towels were unexpectedly soft, the tin roof makes for a super relaxing evening when it rains. And the hot tub was honestly better than we expected!! We really enjoyed it. "Check-in" was super easy. We literally just walked in. The views were also pretty nice!

Cons:
This is definitely more of a bare bones, basic cabin which again is part of the charm, but it's missing a lot of little things, like: No sugar packets or little coffee creamers, no tissues, no extra trash bags.. the curtains don't completely cover the windows and there's only a mini fridge, no full size fridge. Our biggest complaint was that we had seen a lovely fireplace in previous pictures but when we got there, there was just an electric fireplace put in the actual fireplace that gave out very little heat and no ambiance. We were really looking forward to having the warmth of an actual fire in the cabin on crisp autumn nights. That is the main reason I did 4 stars instead of 5.

All in all, we would not hesitate to stay again and really enjoyed ourselves!! Its a lovely little place!

Electric fireplace with heater! It ended up being chilly so this was really nice

Queen bed downstairs, queen bed upstairs in loft as well as bunk beds in an additional room.

Cons-
The queen bed downstairs was not comfortable for us. We tossed and turned all night and had sore backs...this is a personal issue and not a flaw of the property...however, it did make the stay less comfortable. I believe its softer than we are used to.

There are no curtains. So while you are essentially secluded- should anyone be outside, they will see everything 😉

The hot tub had a missing control knob, so I don't know what else it was capable of...we still enjoyed it. It did hold water, lol and the sprayers worked. Also, it took 20 minutes to get enough water to use. Very relaxing!

Overall I would recommend this cabin. The price was reasonable, the owners were helpful and the cabin is beautiful and surprisingly close to everything!

We had a great stay!! Everything was absolutely beautiful we stayed in the blue bird cabin and it was super cozy we were super relaxed the entire time! Hot tub was great and clean just wish there was more light outside by it.The batteries didn’t work in the candles and there was no trash bags other than the one they gave you but other than that our stay was amazing loved the note book that each guest could write in at the end of the stay was a wholesome touch. The cabins are so close to fun activitys to!! We will be back for another stay cant wait to try all the cabins they offer!! And how affordable!!! Great for couples and family’s!!

We had issues with Airbnb and their discriminatory process. Booked with Secluded Cabins directly through their web page. Couldn't have been happier! The cabin was clean and very well equipped. The owner was polite and courteous during our brief encounter. Overall great experience!!
