Home2 Suites by Hilton Dayton Vandalia was a great hotel! This hotel was booked with a room block for a dance competition (CTDE) and the process couldn’t have been simpler. From booking the block to checking in and out our team had a great stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms/showers were very nice. The breakfast was top notch, those of us who’s kids used the pool area loved it, the exercise room had plenty of options! The staff were all so nice and welcoming! Would definitely book at this location in the future if we’re in the area!

Plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the space. Small maintenance issues should be addressed, but otherwise the room was clean and well appointed. Through the app it said you can control a lot of room features, but it seems only the TV remote was functional.
Breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast. Plenty of options, protein and carbs galore. Decent coffee and free water bottles are a nice feature. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Location is far from downtown, but is easily accessible and close to many stores and restaurants for whatever you need.

It's December, cold outside and unpleasantly cold in the room. That made the stay un comfortable. I set the heat on but it took a long time to warm up. Since it was cold in the room the shower floor was freezing and the soaps were all very cold. All reasons to have the rooms at a nice temperature for guests. Also the tissues were painful and caused an unusual bloody nose. Toilet paper was also bad quality. I stay in a lot of hotels usually 4 per week year round and often it's Home 2 but this one in particular seems like they are being too cheap on things that matter. Upgrade the tissues and TP and have the room at 72/73 like suites usually are. Not a terrible stay though. Lady at the desk was seriously awesome, Home 2 usually has the best employees! Respect to them 👍🏼

We always stay at Hiltons, but had never been in a Home2 Suites before. I was a bit disappointed by the room. It was clean and had a full kitchen, but everything was adequate at best. Things seems rather flimsy - good thing it is relatively new because I don't expect it to age well. The bed was comfortable, so that was a plus. The microwave tray was broken and, although there were a lot of plugs seemingly available, most of them did not work. The air conditioner/heater worked, but was LOUD; so loud you could even hear it cycling on and off in the rooms next door. I ran the dishes through the dishwasher but they came out with a chalky film on them so we opted not to use them. Breakfast was similar to Hamptons; egg croissant sandwich quite good but nothing else very special. We didn't leave hungry since there was yogurt and (runny) oatmeal. Whatever shortcomings the room had, though, was made up for by the extremely friendly and helpful desk staff. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately. The area seemed safe and there was ample parking. All-in-all, an okay stay.

This Home2 doesn't accurately represent the Home2 or Hilton brand. The first room I checked into had only been partially cleaned. Counter tops were dirty, there were dirty towels left behind from the previous guest. I'm not confident that the bed clothes have been changed from the previous guest. I was moved to a new room (king suite to a double queen suite) but charged the king suite rate. The desk staff was apologetic... but made no effort to keep the same accomodations.
Unfortunately, I have lost the trust I once had in the brand and will likely be exploring other options the next time I am in the area.

I love Homes2Suites and so i was very disapointed in the quality of housekeeping when we arrived. NO toilet paper in the bathroom, and no tissues. Not a comfortable situation. There were no sheets or linens for the sofa bed so we had to call down to the front desk a second time. Then, suffering insomnia, I went down to the lobby at 3 am to read. Later I couldn't get back into my room. Key stopped working. The front desk issued me a replacement, that didn't work. I had to go down to the front desk 3 times in the middle of the night! Finally a manager figured out it was the battery in the mechanism and let me in. Left with nothing but bad memories. This isn't my usual experience with Hilton.

Perfect location, 2 minutes from the freeway. 2 minutes from Walmart. Lots of food options nearby including City Bbq. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Free bottled water was excellent. I will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

I stayed only one night but I managed to forget my favorite lighted Make-up mirror when I checked out. I realized it the next evening and called and spoke to Kia. She was very accommodating and told me she would let me know if it was found. She called the next day and informed me that she had found it! She advised me on emailing a prepaid shipping label and she carefully wrapped it and sent it and I received it in perfect condition! Kia went above and beyond to help me. And our stay there was great as well.
