We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Lantern Room, managed by Penthouse Events CLE, located on Church Ave in Cleveland, OH, and it was nothing short of a dream come true. From the breathtaking view of the downtown skyline to the rooftop atmosphere, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.

Our wedding coordinator, Ursula, along with her business partner Julio, were true God-sends throughout the entire planning process. Ursula’s meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication made planning our wedding from Texas a seamless and stress-free experience. She went above and beyond in every aspect, ensuring that our vision not only came to life but exceeded our wildest expectations.

I had an opportunity to work with Ursula and Julio for a business social I hosted in July 2024. A colleague of mine highly recommended their venue from a past event he attended. From the start, Ursula and Julio were incredibly responsive, helpful, and clear with their communication. It was wonderful to work with them throughout this process. We hosted around 75 attendees at their Ohio City location, the Cleveland Penthouse, which overlooks the West Side Market, downtown, the lake - it is beautiful. Their team managed everything including setup, food, beverages, and A/V, I just showed up with some signage which made the process incredibly easy for me. I can't say enough about how amazing the space is and everything you need is on the same floor (restrooms, bar, patio). When you arrive at the event space you immediately are just enamored with a gorgeous view. Our attendees loved sitting on the patio, but you get an amazing view from anywhere in the space. Ursula and Julio's team were incredibly polite and professional. The food and beverage selection was perfect. They setup a beautiful display of finger foods for us (fruit, cheese, meats, desserts) which was more than enough for our group. My attendees were very impressed and started talking about potential events they are wanting to host in the space as well. I absolutely recommend this space or anything managed by Ursula and Julio!

We had our wedding at the Lantern Room hosted by Penthouse Events Cle at the end of August and the entire experience was amazing. The space itself is beautiful, but working with Ursula and her business partner Julio was just as much of a “feature” of this venue. We had so many compliments about our big day, and we both had a blast. I wish I could have bottled up the experience of the whole night to relive again and again.

First, about the space: The Lantern Room, on the sixth floor of the Church + State apartment building in Hingetown, is a unique, really cool space. We were immediately drawn to the large deck providing a gorgeous view of downtown and the lake. At night, it was magical! Our wedding fell over Labor Day weekend which of course includes the Cleveland air show. We were able to welcome our guests to a “pre” cocktail hour where they could watch the jet show from the deck before being seated for the ceremony. We got really lucky with gorgeous weather, a vivid sunset, and even fireworks from Progressive Field. The inside space is also quite striking, with lots of lovely natural light and options to customize. Between the deck and indoor event space, there were a lot of different options for guests to mingle and dance. There was even a fire pit out on the deck, and we rented a glow-in-the-dark corn hole board from our DJ, so there were options for guests who didn’t want to dance the whole time. The bar was outside on the deck and they were a blast as well! The drinks and the food from the caterer was all delicious - there were a lot of compliments about the signature cocktails and the dinners!

We loved that the space was dog friendly as we wanted to include our dog in the special day! You can also rent a fully furnished private apartment on the floor right below the Lantern Room, which we utilized for getting ready. The apartment is spacious, elegantly modern, and so convenient. And between the event space and the apartment, there are so many great, distinctive backgrounds for photos. One small thing to note about the Lantern Room is that since it is in a residential building, the music/partying has to stop by 10pm. The vibes were so good, we felt like we could have stayed later, but it's good to end on a high note and we also arranged for a nice after-party at one of the great bars literally around the corner, so that was super convenient and a hit for our guests.

Ursula was so communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. We were always impressed by how promptly she replied to emails. She helped form our vision and bring it to life based on just a few conversations and a Pinterest board that we put together. We truly felt supported in the lead-up and, most importantly, on the wedding day. It even came down to the little touches: for example, she helped come up with specialty cocktails that reflected our tastes well (including a bonus mocktail named for our dog!), put together menus that exactly matched the design of the other graphics I had made. She and Julio have great energy and clearly enjoy working together. The entire staff was so professional and our entire wedding day went smoothly. We were just so so pleased! You'll be in good hands with Penthouse Events Cle.

I had my wedding at the Lantern Room on June 1st. The minute we met Ursula and Julio we knew this was our venue. They were so warm and inviting. Everything from the initial meeting, the Menu Tasting to the very end of the reception was amazing. Ursula understood my vision perfectly for the venue and it was just beautiful. We stayed at the bridal Suite the night before and the night of our wedding this was a huge plus! I didn’t worry about anything. Ursula repeatedly calmed me and said let us take care of you. My guests loved the venue, and many said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Huge shout out to the wait staff who are also amazing! The food was also amazing. Chef David Ina is great-get the cornbread croutons.
I could go on and on about how perfect our day was. 10/10 recommend Penthouse CLE Events. Thank you Ursula and Julio! You are the best of the best ❤️

Where do I even begin! My HUSBAND and I got married at the Lantern Room on 9/1/24 and we had the VERY BEST DAY! We heard from so many friends and family that our wedding was one of the best they had ever been to.
This could NOT have been possible without working from start to finish with Ursula and Julio at Penthouse Events CLE. We started working with them over a year ago and let me tell you, if you are looking for a team who meets you where you are (literally and figuratively...like meeting me at the bank to hand over money LOL), genuinely cares about you and your guests, treats you like family and helps you create the most memorable ceremony and heck of a party, then look no further than Ursula and Julio.
Every email/phone call was returned within less than 24 hours, any time we wanted to meet, they met us (and we met a lot). I am not your typical bride, so I didn't have a Pinterest board, but knew what I wanted (in general) and Ursula and Julio held my hand and gave us our dream day. We couldn't be more pleased and would recommend them 100x over to anyone!! If you are looking for an amazing wedding planning team to help your dreams come true, then look no further than Ursula and Julio (and team) at Penthouse Events CLE!!

From our initial visit almost two years before our wedding date, we noticed right away that Ursula and Julio go above and beyond. They were so kind and accommodating, truly dedicated to helping us achieve our vision.

Ursula was incredibly responsive to email, organized, and detail-oriented. The staff at our reception were friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to interact with them throughout the night. Our guests raved about the reception, saying it was one of the greatest weddings / events they’ve ever been to, the service was impeccable, and the food was some of the best they’d ever had at a wedding.

The only thing you need to know is that no other venue or wedding coordinator will ever compare to Ursula and Julio. Do yourself the biggest favor and look no further than these two and any of their incredible venues. My husband and I got married at the lantern room and from the first time meeting them to the very last song of our wedding day, they were attentive and focused on making the process the easiest, most enjoyable, least stressful it could be. I kid you not, Ursula just asked us to send her some Pinterest pictures of our vision and she brought them to real life. I hardly did a thing!! How rare is that?!

Not only that but she was incredibly responsive the entire planning process to any email questions that came up. But it didn’t stop there, she put together all of our centerpieces, seating chart, and coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure everyone got where they were supposed to be. On the actual day of, if you didn’t know you would have thought Ursula and Julio were our aunt and uncle. From making sure we had the drinks we wanted in hand to snapping special dance floor moments and even personally scooping the ice cream for guests- they were everywhere, doing everything all with a smile. I couldn’t help but think, is it possible they are actually having as much fun as us?

They clearly love what they do and they set the bar exceptionally high. My friends were all shocked to hear that I didn’t have to do all of the minuscule work of wedding planning like tablecloth and napkin colors and that I had a point person who not only willingly did all of that but also blew it out of the water. I cannot reiterate enough that Julio and Ursula are the only people you need to consider for your special event. You can put all of your trust in them and just actually enjoy the unique process of planing your special day. I want to get married all over again just purely so I can work with them again. I’m not kidding.
