The website stated "This location currently under renovation," but this Holiday Inn Express should have been closed during major construction. We first walked in through concrete and plaster dust. Approached the front desk and had to ask construction workers if the place was open. The entire front desk was covered in protective plastic. Staff came out to check us in. She was very helpful and apologetic. Kudos to the staff because she allowed us to check into the room early since we had an event that was starting before the posted check in time.

Room was clean but extremely old and worn. Two floors of rooms were under renovation and were closed. We attended an event at the hockey arena and sat three rows from the ice. By the time we returned to the hotel, we were freezing. Went to turn on the heat in the room and the unit wasn't working. No heat. Called the front desk. She was very nice and sincerely apologized. Brought up two extra blankets. Left a message for the manager and never received a return call.

Overall, staff saved this location by trying to be helpful, but too much to overcome. We left a day early but thank you for charging us for the extra night. My guess is they rented out the room again and made double on the room for that night.

Had no problems whatsoever, room service was awesome, needed some extras and they were very helpful and quick to get my requests. Front desk associates were very nice. Breakfast was great and had many great choices to choose from, hot coffee and clean seating area, overall a great stay!!!

The hallways needed newer carpet because they were dingy and stained. The rooms, heating and air conditioning unit squealed and was noisy every time it came on and making it hard to hear the TV or sleep at night. However, the staff were very nice and friendly and made up for the few things that were wrong.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many, many, many times. We enjoy the convenience of its location (although it can be a bit wonky actually finding it, as it is a ways back from the main street ~ better street signage would improve that!) and the pool and the free breakfast buffet. We were told on our latest visit that the hotel is about to go thru renovations….. which ought to be wonderful, as in it’s current condition feels a bit “tired”.

The property was a little older and our room could use some attention. The bottom of the bathroom door had water damage and the sink stopper did not work. The room was ok as far as cleanliness but smelled musty. Definitely kept socks or shoes on. The AM staff was kind and friendly. Breakfast was good and offered a variety of options. The staff that checked us in could have been more welcoming but we all have bad days. I had requested a higher floor when I booked but received a first floor room. Oh well.

My recent stay at your establishment presented a mixed bag of experiences. While the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, I was deeply disappointed by the unacceptable state of the first floor carpet.

The level of dirt and grime was frankly shocking, and entirely unbefitting of a hotel, let alone one bearing the Holiday Inn name. This immediately cast a negative impression on my stay and raised serious concerns about the overall commitment to cleanliness within the establishment.

While the breakfast provided was typical of a hotel in this class, I was disappointed by the lack of any allergy accommodations. This is a significant oversight in today's environment where dietary restrictions are increasingly common.

Additionally, the Wi-Fi speed was lacking, which is a significant inconvenience in today's technology-driven world.

Ultimately, the unacceptable condition of the first floor carpet significantly detracted from my stay. Despite the positive aspects, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend your hotel based on this experience.

Also, the hotel was pretty quiet. A few things to make the stay better. Most Importantly, the curtain did not completely cover the window and there was a large spotlight pointed directly into the room. It is nice when a room get's completely dark to sleep in, and this prevented the room from getting dark. SO it would be good to consider different lighting for the exterior of the hotel. No reason for it to be lit up like a beacon. Also, during the evenings I had some work to do in the room. The interior lighting in the room was inadequate for the work I needed to do. Some task lighting attached to the top bar of the desk would solve this issue. The power-strip attached to the desk did not work. The mattress was very firm. The hot tub in the pool area was broken, and the work out room was so tiny.

The stay was great. The room was clean and spacious. The parking was free there was also free breakfast. The pool looked clean and inviting. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
