The service was excellent from the start. The valet parking was super easy, and the attendant was more than willing to help with bags. The check-in process was easy, and they escorted us to the elevator, which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and stylish and we had a great view of the river. The rooftop bar was a nice place to end the night. Overall, we had a great experience and will continue to use whenever we are in town.

Oh I absolutely loved this hotel! The room was ultra comfy, the bed so cozy and quiet and the staff were
amazing. Friendly, prompt and happy to walk you to what you are looking for. The location is perfectly poised downtown and a lovely walk to so much to explore and visit. Every evening at 5 they served a complimentary cocktail in the lobby and I loved this happy hour gesture. I can't wait to come again in the busy season!! Cheers, Spicy Jan

Renaissance Hotel, Toledo Ohio||Stayed at the Renaissance Toledo the day and evening of 3/29/25. After checking in we noticed that the charge on our credit card was much ore that rate that was confirmed in the email we received form the hotel. We went to the front desk and received little help from the desk clerk (Corinna?) and shockingly she was immediately snarky about my inquiry. She could not pull up the record of our reservation, which had been made directly online with the hotel. Showing her our confirmation email with the rate didn't help at all. She said that we, 2 women with 2 young children, could wait in the lounge for the manager to show up and address our issue. She would not give us the name or number of the manager. We settled for leaving our name and number with her. No one ever called us. ||Back in our room we discovered that the pull-out bed was not made up. When we called housekeeping we got the front desk. Not only was no one from housekeeping available to make up the bed, they could not provide any more pillows or blankets. Again we were treated dismissively on the phone by the same clerk (Corinna?). The next day when checking out, we tried again to revisit the bill issue with the clerk on duty. This clerk was nice and professional, but was unable to look into the issue. He advised us to wait several days and then check the bill on our credit card. We asked to see a manager and were told none was available. We again left a message to be called and received no call. In my approximately 45 years of staying in hotels in the US and abroad I have never been treated so poorly by hotel staff.

Perfect location for downtown events. Rooms are very nicely furnished, clean, and reasonably priced. Excellent workout facility. Excellent restaurant with good food and helpful staff. Staff was very responsive and friendly. We had an issue with the fridge not working properly, and they helped us out to make it right. Heads up that street parking and many garages are free on weekends, but they do have a quick and friendly valet as well. We will stay here again if we are back in Toledo!

Overall a great experience! I found that the room we stayed at was very nice, and ours had an amazing view of the Maumee River, and the city. This hotel is a safe walking distance from the Huntington Center which really saved us a lot of driving stress from the events there.

We used a Valet Service, and had no complaints, as they were fairly quick to take, and retrieve our vehicle. They were also super helpful as this was my first valet experience!

We checked out both the restaurants in the hotel, The Heights, and the Brim House. The food was super good from both restaurants. It did seem that The Heights was super busy so I’d recommend that you make a reservation before going.

My husband and I love staying here! The staff are so helpful and attentive, we love The Heights rooftop bar as well. Only small complaint is that the pillows are not the best, we usually bring an extra from home. The beds are very comfy though!

I stayed here the night before my wedding to get ready as well as for my wedding night. We didn’t get married at the Renaissance but everyone there legitimately treated us as if we were VIPs. We have never been treated more kindly at a hotel than we did here. I was at breakfast and the manager Jesse came over to check on me, we chatted and he found out I was getting married that day. Later he brought us a note from everyone as well as goodies. What was so sweet is he wasn’t the only one, the front desk staff left cheesecake and a note for us in our room as well! Later that night we were having some drinks at the rooftop bar and Carl, the front desk gentlemen we had met the day before recognized us and bought us a bottle of champagne!! I could go on and on about this hotel and staff, they truly made our weekend so unforgettable. We both cannot wait to go back! I highly encourage you to visit and say hi to Jesse and Carl!

If I could give this place a million stars I would! The rooms were very comfortable, the location was perfect to attend the Walleye game with a great view of the river. The reason for this review is for the service we received during our stay:) Manny at the front desk was very kind and accommodating. Mac and Mickey in the restaurant were so very sweet with the children and we received killer service. The food was also amazing! Next time we’re in town we’ll definitely be staying here.
