Me and my parents took the sightseeing golf cart tours (we did a combination of the Quarry History and the Island Treasure Nature Tour) with Dawn. She explained the best place to rent the cart (by the ferry is closest but downtown is the cheapest). The cart is separate but its definitely worth it since you can use the cart after the tour!

Since it was just us, it was really great since we could see all the things we wanted to (glacial grooves, inscription rock, the state park, the old quarries, some of the beaches). Trekking the island without someone who knows the area, it's hard to appreciate the history and its easy to walk right past things. These pictures were all from the tour.

When I come back I'd love to try the kayak tour!

Dawn was an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and local birds. She taught us a lot and we had a lot of fun on the kayak tour. The waves were fun, but expect to get a little wet when you launch. Altogether a great time.
