I cannot say enough about how well my Retirement Ball was executed. The team at The Makoy was amazing to work with and did an amazing job helping me execute my vision. I’ve received so many compliments on the venue, the food, the decor. It was wonderful.

Truly an amazing venue with amazing staff. Our family lives mostly in northern and southern OH, so Columbus area was the perfect middle ground! We live out of state now, and weddings are stressful enough when you’re in the state you get married in. The Makoy worked with us through every step and we left every meeting feeling like we were stressed over nothing. Not to mention the venue is beautiful and our guests (~160) couldn’t stop complimenting it. Matt was amazing at every step of the way to making sure we were smooth sailing and helping with every idea we had or decided to change. We never felt pressured to spend more and they always helped us stay within the budget. For everything you get, the Makoy was worth every penny. Last but not least the food was amazing. We went for a buffet option and everyone LOVED it (including us!) The staff was also amazing for helping coordinate the multiple different severe and non-severe food allergies we had. I’m sure there’s things I missed as I don’t think I can fit everything I loved about the Makoy in the character limit- but if I had to redo my wedding- the Makoy would be our venue/reception no matter what.

We recently held our all-day team meeting at the Makoy Center, and it was an incredible experience! They accommodated our afternoon casino party, making the event both fun and seamless. The in-house catering was fantastic—every dish was delicious, and the dessert was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond, helping with everything we needed and ensuring a smooth experience. Their friendliness and attentiveness made all the difference. Highly recommend for any event!

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception in the Emerald Room and could not be happier. Many of our guests have told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Erin, Clay, Matt, Reagan, and the rest of the Makoy staff put in a lot of work to make everything run smoothly so that we and our guests could enjoy the day worry free. They were also a tremendous asset in making our personalized vision for the event reality. On top of all of that, the food is superb. We ended up with a bunch of leftover dessert not because we over ordered, but because everyone filled up on the fantastic dinner buffet and had no room left!

If you are debating whether or not to give this place a look, just do it. We didn’t regret it, and neither will you.

We went to an event at the Makoy Center. I was there last year for a wedding. In both cases the venue was clean, appropriately appointed and signed. I can’t say if it will meet your needs but if Northwest Columbus is your area you will not be disappointed in checking them out. Located in Old Hilliard it is attractive and the parking is good.

I can not say enough positive things about our experience with The Makoy! Had our daughter’s wedding reception here this past weekend and they truly went above and beyond our expectations! The Emerald room was absolutely stunning! Matt and Clay are so great to work with for the planning, and our coordinator, Adrian was also fantastic!! You will not be disappointed!!

My husband and I hosted our wedding at the Makoy Center and it was the most magical night of our lives.Our ceremony was held outside and the reception was in the Emerald room. Between the ambiance of the Emerald room and the creative touch of our wedding planners the room was beautiful and elegant.The entire experience was awesome. The staff was helpful and easy to work with and the food was phenomenal! We highly recommend considering to host your next event here!
