Severely outdated rooms that need a major overhaul. Couch was 80s looking velour and stains all over carpet. Wallpaper peeling off walls on some spots and patches of mold on ceiling in bathroom.
Acted like we were a bother at the front desk. Said my room wasn't available yet at 3:15, no biggie. So waited a few minutes in the lobby and my app told me it was ready so got my keys and digital key and went to room. We walk in and housekeeping had just started the room. Told her we would be back and apologized and she shrugged her shoulders and grunted at us.
Finally, asked for late checkout. Was told we can leave at 12. At 11:15 as we were packing car we come back to room and housekeeping is already in the room.

Only saving grace was the free drinks at the evening reception and the nice lobby area. Fairly quiet at night too even though hotel was fairly busy.

VERY disappointed with this Hilton property...might have well been a Comfort Inn or Eco Lodge.

Outdated property in an upscale area. Hilton should truly be ashamed.

Want to start with the fact that I had a pleasant text from Tiffany asking how my stay was. She responded to my concerns immediately BUT unfortunately there were several more "unwelcomed finds". I have indeed worked in the hotel hospitality industry so know how hard it can be to please guests but this is terrible.

Gross stuff left on walls in at least a couple places, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash COMPLETELY empty. Not to mention someone else's hair and soap in shower that was completely out of soap.

I woke up all stuffy and coughing. I was drowsy because air conditioning doesn't work. Did further exploring and found nasty ass filter and unit.

Completely questioning my honor to the Hilton brands.

I am a hilton honors member and am extremely surprised and disappointed in this hotel. Upon checking in our room was unclean. Specifically multiple black hairs on the bed, the toilet had A BUG IN IT!!!!!!! and the sink and shower were dripping and squeaking.

My family and I had arrangements we needed to get ready for upon arrival however I had no choice but to ask to switch rooms. After calling the front desk I was told new keys would be brought to my room. that didn’t happen. i had to go down to the desk and get them, again bc my family needed to get ready for our commitment.

Our new room was not much better but we had no choice but to get ready for dinner and leave. Upon returning to the hotel later that evening it was discovered that the sink had no hot water, none of the outlets worked to charge our phones and the phone to the front desk was COMPLETELY out of order. I wanted another blanket for the bed and was unable to contact anyone using the phone.

I asked to speak to a manager and ask for a discount. If that would have happened i honestly would not be writing this review now. However i was told there is no manager on site and there wouldn’t be one on site until monday!!! It’s friday evening meaning there is no manager on duty all weekend to speak to. the girl at the desk was kind and gave me free snacks and a blanket but that surely doesn’t make up for the price of two unfit rooms. my daughter goes to school at john caroll and i will not be returning to this location next time i visit her.

Positive: The rate was acceptable, the room was large and spacious and clean, there was access to an electric vehicle charger at the apartment complex across the street and the location of the hotel met my needs Negative: The lower conference room area look like it was undergoing renovations. The hotel is a bit dated and could really use a modern lift. The rooms need more modern amenities like USB ports and electrical outlets closer to the bed.

Overall not a bad place to rest for the night but certainly not a room where you’d spend a significant amount of time relaxing. It’s not aesthetically appealing in the rooms. The lobby is nice and smells wonderful but it ends there.
The pool was mysteriously not working while we were there. Upon check in they said it would be fixed the next day but it still wasn’t fixed 3 days later at check out.
The fitness room is really small. While there we noticed one of the treadmills didn’t even work. There is a peloton bike (when I called the day before to see if this was available they told me they didn’t have one…) and some weights but they are missing a few dumbbells (i.e. 35s and 40s).

See additional info about the rooms, but wanted to note that they are a good size. We liked the desk. The beds are small though. I thought they were a queen (the rooms with 2 beds, not 1) but they’re for sure full size. They were decently comfortable but the pillows were all different levels of flat to plush but still not great.

For the price, I’d stay again but lower my expectations.

Disappointing Stay – Outdated and Unclean
I was shocked that this hotel is part of the Hilton family. The property is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and not up to the standards I expect from Hilton. The rooms and common areas felt dirty, and the overall experience was far from what I anticipated. I would not recommend staying here until major renovations and improvements are made. I would’ve given it a minus one If possible. I would have given the service a better rating, however, They decided to clean the room next to me at 9:30 at night, banging doors and loud noises. I thought it was guest until I looked it outside and saw it was the cleaning staff. I would’ve checked out except that my company booked this hotel.

Great location, old run down hotel they have done nothing with. Black mold, mildew in shower. Paid for premium room with water and snacks in it, no water or snacks.

Already told them in my after stay rating, but sick of hotels asking if you told anyone. A lot of people traveling during the week is for work. We would rather be home. We expect our rooms to be clean, neat, clean. I shouldn’t have to address black mold or dust in vent fans, or ask where the water or snacks are. Your cleaning staff isn’t even washing new wash clothes or towels, the sticker was still on them. We all know those come off in the washer or dryer. Shame on you. Get an overall manager and a cleaning manager to get this place cleaned up.

As you have made people more reliable on technology and digital keys for their room, you also expect us to not contact you for anything. So all I ask is deep cleans done, exhaust fans cleaned out, rooms updated, and showers that are clean. Especially when I’m paying to stay here.

Embassy Suites Beachwood is the real deal. It is an extremely nice hotel in an amazing location.
Before I start I just want to give a special shout-out to Courtney for being the greatest bartender I have ever met. She was extremely nice and friendly. She is the main reason I am giving this hotel a 5 star rating (obviously everything else about this hotel is also awesome). Honestly if I was her boss I would give her a huge raise. Unfortunately there is no way to rate individual employees but if there was 20 stars easy.
Right when you walk into the lobby you feel the luxurious vibe of this hotel. There are numerous waterfalls and the place is just stunning. The entire staff is super nice and are extremely professional. I have been to many hotels all around this country (and also out of this country) and it is hard to find such a great staff.
I could really write a whole lot more about how good everything about this place is but then you will be reading until next month.
BOTTOM LINE if you need to book a hotel near Beachwood you know where to come!
