When walking to my room on 2nd floor, celling was dripping on us, what I hope was water.

Our door to our room would not close properly, it kept having the bolt come out like someone was locking the door. One of us had to stay in the room for the door to close.

No wifi so TV wouldn't work. We were told something was cut under ground and waiting for someone to fix it. Never was fixed.

Pool was ice cold, many kids in our group had to get out of the pool because it was so cold.

Our son was sleeping on the fold out sofa bed. The mattress was dirty.

AC stopped working around 1:00AM. Called front desk was told nothing could be done.

At breakfast in the morning the waffle iron slammed on my hand. Was told that it already happened to 3 people before me and one was a kid. Then it happened again to a women behind me. Finally they finally shut down the waffle maker. I have a nice burn on the top of my hand. When i expressed my concerns to the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do because it's the weekend and no one i could speak with that could help with anything.

I wish I would have read the reviews about the pool not being heated. If you have kids, you will be disappointed. Call ahead of time to see if it’s fixed! The property has been newly renovated. There was no parking fee even though it says there is $12 one online. I’m curious if there is a lot of crime in the area? There was a security vehicle patrolling the parking lot. I also overheard a man saying his wedding band and ear buds were taken from his room.

Overall a convenient property off the interstate. Just a letdown with the non heated pool!

We were moving some household items from near Philadelphia, PA to Rochester, Minnesota. After a midday start on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 we made it here for the night. This hotel is in Ohio right on the border with West Virginia. I booked the hotel online, so wasn't aware that construction was going on right at the hotel desk. The ceiling was ripped out, plastic covered to floor and over the hotel desk. The desk clerk had to lift the plastic to see the computer, and had to go to another room to print out the paperwork. Despite this she was very pleasant and helpful. She told me that they had frozen pipes in the ceiling so it was torn out for repair. The construction workers were there and had the ceiling back in place by 8PM. I read some previous reviews about problems, pipe leaks and wet carpeting. For myself, as an energy and building analyst professional, I assume this hotel was built cheaply and not energy efficient to have such problems. Not the fault of the staff however, they were very nice. That same desk clerk young lady came to our room promptly to help get a laptop computer signed in to their wifi. That is above and beyond good service. The room was very comfortable and quiet all night. The free breakfast was not elaborate but quite good, only that they soon ran out of coffee, I had to tell the (different) person at the desk to get it refilled. There was no $12 charge for parking as stated on the reservation and also what others have said in their reviews. Overall, a good experience.

Our stay was less than pleasant. The staff were friendly, but the rooms were terrible. Our first room was open when we arrived. After entering, we found a bed that appeared to have been slept in and a sandwich in the fridge. We requested to be moved. The second room was dirty as well with urine on the toilet and a dirty tissue on the floor. A hand towel also appeared to have been used. To top it off, this hotel charges $13 a day for parking. In a non-metro area?! Ridiculous! Select another property if you can.

I was in town for a funeral. Had it not been for the kind staff and the fact that it was a last minute booking, I probably would have cancelled my stay to go to another local property. Being a former employee for Marriott, I am well aware of the standards that should be kept and this property fell extremely short of brand standards, I was honestly shocked. The first issue I noticed upon entering my room was that the window glass was broken in multiple places. Only tape was placed on SOME of the cracks in an attempt to fix it. This caused the room to get extremely cold if the heat was not continually ran. It’s also a safety hazard. I specifically requested housekeeping due to cleanliness concerns and they never came (they didn’t attempt to service the room at all during my five night stay) I had to continually go to the front desk to ask for towels, toilet paper, etc. My biggest concern was the shower/tub. It was evident that it was not properly cleaned. There was caked on soap scum and grime on the shower walls, I was able to take my fingers and smudge the walls to the point where you could visibly see the dirt lines from where I rubbed my fingers. I had to request an entirely new shower curtain, not just the liner but the entire curtain. The entire bottom of the curtain was stained pink with mildew and mold, it’s obvious that shower curtain had not been changed in a very long time. At the very least, the shower liner should be changed after every guest. Upon realizing the state of the bathroom, I messaged the front desk via the Bonvoy app to express my concerns and request housekeeping to clean the bathroom. The reply I got was a simple “ok”. That’s it. No attempt to apologize or fix the issue. Just “ok”. This is not acceptable. I don’t normally complain but it was so bad, that I had to take photos to make sure housekeeping would actually clean the room like I requested. To my surprise, they never even came. Since they did not come, I took it upon myself to go to a local store to buy cleaning supplies and I cleaned the shower/tub myself. That’s totally unacceptable. I also need to mention that maintenance/management’s idea of “upkeep” for the actual tubs, is to just paint the inside of the tub with white paint…I cleaned the entire tub, filled it with clean water to take a hot bath and there were white paint chips EVERYWHERE in the tub. I didn’t even take a bath after seeing that!! White paint continued to peel off in the tub with every shower we took. There were no doggie bags outside at the pet waste stations when I arrived for my reservation and they were never replenished throughout my entire stay which made it extremely inconvenient while traveling with a pet at a “pet friendly” property. The parking lot and sidewalks around the hotel were not maintained for the weather. No salt or pretreatment happened during my stay, only a small truck plow every few hours. It was extremely dangerous driving in the parking lot and walking on the sidewalk where it should be safely accessible. I slipped multiple times and almost fell. This is a potential lawsuit in the making…The main reason I specifically chose this property was for the indoor “heated” pool. I just wanted to relax. The pool was not heated AT ALL. The pool room and the pool water was almost as cold as it was outside. There was even another couple who came in and attempted to get in the pool and chose against it as well after testing the water temperature. I’m not sure if the heater is broken or if the staff/management failed to turn the heater on but this needs to be addressed at check in. Had I known the heated pool wasn’t actually heated, I would have asked to cancel my reservation right at check in. I chose not to complain about the pool heat because I know from experience that even if the staff turned the heater on, it would take at least one full day for the entire pool to be heated to temperature.

Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. The rooms make you feel like home is a better place to be. Choose for the inside pool so kids could burn off energy before sitting at the grandparents' house. However, the pool is NOT heated, extremely cool. GREAT thing is the mall was nearby.

Would have given a 5 star based off first 3 of 5 trips ,I've used this business in the last 2 weeks, HOWEVER this last trip was so bad in customer service,I would have given a 1 so on ave I'm given 3.
First 3 trips everyone was nice and even showed concern for us when we went out into snowy weather. Last trip,they over charged (I book online then they charged at hotel again and no not just the deposit amount) When I tried to talk to attendant at check in she stated I needed to manager in morning (rudely) In morning the lady I talked to wasn't manager and refused to get a manager because I had 'no proof' I was double charged. Argued with me; rudely accused me of being wrong about everything and told me to ' call someone ' if I was double charged.
I LOVE Fairfield Inn and use them a lot during bad weather (I live a ways from my job) but I don't know if I will ever return to the St C branch after the rudeness of counter staff.
BTW- breakfast is always great and kitchen persons have always been amazing keeping everything full and fresh.( THANK YOU Kitchen )

For a Fairfield my room was clean bathroom clean ! I hate how the toilet was so close to the shower but again everything was clean bed clean and comfortable fridge kept my drinks extremely cold decent size tv another mirror 🪞 outside the bathroom that’s important to me !!! And both the girl who checked me In and lady who had the night shift was really nice and attentive !!!
