Dawnn of Shadyside Travel Agency plans amazing adventures! A few years ago, our niece wished her graduation gift to be a magical adventure of Harry Potter in England and Scotland; and, Dawnn delivered with walking tours, a theater experience, excursions to nearby cities for filming locations, tours of castles and grounds, train rides with scenic views, and wonderful hotel rooms to slumber peacefully. Most recently, another niece wished her graduation adventure to be filled with good food and art; so, Dawnn created a whirlwind tour of Italy for us to experience in Rome, Sorrento, Florence, Venice, and Milan. Dawnn scheduled our first night in Rome to not only dine in a local's home but also to learn how to cook an authentic Italian meal - talk about an amazing experience and delicious food! And talk about rooms with a view, oi, how we did not want to leave our hotel in Sorrento as the balcony view was amazing. Not only did we see great art, we created art by painting a watercolor view of Venice thanks to Dawnn's thoughtful planning to paint with Nicola Tenderini, a local Venetian artist (we could have spent all day doing this as the few hours allotted for painting left our masterpieces unfinished, haha). Life can be busy with work, family, and friends; and as much as I love planning, I am ever grateful to hand over that duty to Dawnn so that all we had to do was show up and enjoy everything without overthinking. Dawnn is conscientious about one's budget and timeframe as she provided options to create our perfect adventures. And with another niece graduating in 2025, I cannot wait to see what Dawnn plans for us next.

Dawnn planned our trip to London, the Cotswolds, and Ireland. It was involved- planes, trains, and automobiles - but she made sure it all clicked; if her itinerary said a driver or a guide would be there- they were! It was all tailored for us and our wishes, we can’t pick a favorite day, they were all highlights! Highly recommend!!!

Shadyside Travel has been helping us plan trips for many years. Joe and Dawnn are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They take the time to give every client personalized attention. Our recent cruise to Norway was wonderful and made even better because of the help we received from Shadyside Travel. If you have never used a travel agent or if you are looking for a travel agent, do yourself a favor and call them.

My personal experience with shadyside travel. I will never use them again, first off Joe was not personable. He was short and insulting. He give us Hyatt Zilara , but the one we wanted in Cancun is the one we wanted to stay at, but he was adamant about this resort. This is not what I was looking for, basically this is more reading and relaxing Type. Kim on the other hand was really nice. I will not be using them again.

We’ve worked with Dawnn from Shady Side Travel twice now, once for our honeymoon to Italy and recently for a getaway to Costa Rica. I barely have to describe to her what we’re looking for and she understands perfectly and sets up the perfect trip. Transportation to and from the airports is always smooth, the services and activities she sets us up with are amazing, and it matches exactly the type of trip we have in mind. I will definitely be working with Dawnn again for all our future travel needs.

My wife and I traveled to Italy for our honeymoon using Shadyside Travel Agency. Dawnn was fantastic. She worked with us to tailor an experience that met every one of our requests. Our itinerary was thoughtfully planned out to make sure we could have an equal balance of sightseeing tours and free-time to explore. She did everything in her power to ensure a smooth transition while traveling between cities by train. Further, after seeing the almost overwhelming number of tours available in each location, I am even more impressed by Dawnn's ability to hand pick the best tour vendors.

We unfortunately had our trip cut short a few days due to a COVID related issue. Once we got back stateside, dawnn did everything in her power to help us get refunded for the things we missed out on.

The only negative we experienced was due to the time difference between Italy and the US. Although dawnn had provided me with contact information for every vendor and company, I had a hard time getting through to some of them. This was a small inconvenience and is largely out of her control. She did go above and beyond to call us after working hours to let us know about a last minute change to our train travel. This is just one example of Shadyside Travel living up to its promise of "unparalleled personal service"

Joe was incredibly helpful in selecting a location and a resort that suited our needs perfectly, and Stephanie made the entire process stress-free; she was so friendly to work with when submitting payments and getting travel documents to us, ensuring that all the details were set!
