Have done two different shows organized by Marketplace Events and both were extremely disappointing. They prey on local craftsmen with promises of high attendance and exposure. Marketplace Events will then cram the crafters into whatever scattered structures they rent at the venue, while failing to advertise and organize the event properly. It's clear they only care to cash grab instead of building high- quality, reputable events. Engage at your own risk.

The marketing team in charge of Nashville Home Show Is absolutely horrible. This show has been going on for 3 years ONLY including this year, and there was little to NO MARKETING whatsoever. They charged $1800 to returning vendors and an additional $100 for new exhibitors, with a guaranteed 17,438 person(s) outcome (there was around 8,000). The entire show was a ghost town, and vendors were complaining left and right about how bad it was compared to the last couple years. Our booth not breaking even all 3 days resulted in a heated discussion with the show managers. They told us we were expendable and there was plenty of people willing to take our place next year. Little does their marketing team know, (in lack thereof) our company is global and rules the EMS industry. As a result, HiDow will be passing this along down our booking chain, and we intend on letting our fellow contracts with other companies know the HUGE risk factor in booking this show.

I went to the Charlotte show after seeing an advertisement for the show on Facebook. It was not a show. It was just a lot of venders pushing their products. There were no garden displays, kitchen, bath, or other home displays. It just had vulchers trying to sell their products (many non-home related) at a ridiculous price. One vender was selling small sliding interior barn doors for a $1000. I saw the same sliding interior barn door at Costco for $100. One "vender" was asking for people's information "to check" if they were registered to vote and if I wanted info on a particular cause. They had the audacity to ask for my SSN. They took my name an reregistered me, even though I told them I was registered. FRAUD!! And that's only example. We left after only thirty minutes.
