When working on the road it’s important to have good breakfast options. I was really impressed with how clean the breakfast area is and how well made the selections were. The hot breakfast was cooked- not just assembled with hot water. There is a difference and it was appreciated. The front desk staff were also friendly, polite, and helpful. A great stay.

Several problems with room and limited help addressing them by staff.

Toliet not working (fixed myself), insufficient towels (2 provided but 3 people booked in room), water damaged ceiling in bath, shower curtain bar falling down, missing stoppers in tub and sink, no body soap in shower, pool slimly green (not opened) and funky mold on outside of room window.

Breakfast was very good.

I stayed here at this property for work. It was great and really enjoyed my stay. The staff here are wonderful and always asked if I needed anything. I enjoyed the breakfast very much. the cinnamon roll for breakfast was the sugar I needed to start my day. Manager Landon was professional and always asked if he could be a help. I really like this hotel. Will stay here again.

Excellent Hotel! The staff was super nice to our family and made sure everyone was comfortable! My (almost Teens) absolutely loved the breakfast and want to go back to this Holiday Inn Express again the next time we visit our family again in Alabama. Thanks you guys - keep up the great work!

I stayed here for the better part of 2 weeks. Aside from having to kill the occasional insects (cockroach, silverfish), the stay was ok.

The room I got was small, and I spend about 150+ nights a year in hotels, so I carry a lot with me. The room was cleanish.

My problem was checking out. I called at 1030, two days earlier than scheduled for checkout, and asked for a late checkout, 1pm. I was told ok by the girl at the front desk. ​While I was on my way to the hotel, I got a call from someone in management, saying I'd have to pay for the night since I would be checking out late. I explained that I was a Diamond Elite member and usually got a 2pm late checkout when needed, but that didn't matter. I exited my room at 1200 exactly. I protested the charge at the front desk. The manager came out, but refused to budge. When I told him that I spend about 12 days a year or more in the area, but wouldn't stay at his hotel again if I was charged for the extra day, his response was 'Ok. Bye.' I felt very disrespected.

After I left the hotel, I went to my account to post a negative review (this is the first hotel I have ever left a negative review about), and the stay had been deleted from my profile. It was not reinstated until Customer Support got involved.

I won't stay here again.

My Family always stay at this hotel when we are in Selma. The accommodations are great and so is the staff. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this is the 1st time I have every smelled bed linens smell FRESH! The only complaint was the smell when the workers were doing remodeling during the day.

I made my reservation on 7/17/2024 to visit Selma in March 2025. When my roommate backed out, I modified my reservation to change my arrival date from March 5 to March 6. When I modified the reservation, the hotel rate changed from $221/night to $425/night--a $200+/night difference. I called the hotel the same night to try to resolve the issue with no success. When I arrived at the hotel on March 6, the hotel manager alleged that the hotel rate of $425 could not be changed. I filed a complaint with the Corporate Office--employees were of no help & claimed that they could not change the $425/night back to the original rate of $221/night. I looked into changing hotels but could not change hotels without paying the entire room balance ($1736). With the exception of the hotel manager, the staff was great. However, because I had to pay an extra $200+/night for the room, I have no intentions of staying in this hotel again.
