I recently took a 20 hours long ferry ride from Ketchikan to Juneau, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This versatile transportation option caters to all types of travelers, whether you're a regular passenger, a camper, or prefer the comfort of a cabin sleeper.

The accommodations on board are top-notch. The cabins are clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. For those traveling on a budget or seeking adventure, the option to camp on deck is fantastic. It truly offers something for everyone.

One of the standout features of the ferry is the range of services available on board. You can satisfy your cravings with delicious food, grab a drink at the bar, catch a movie in the theater, or take care of your laundry needs – all while enjoying the incredible views of Alaska's stunning landscapes.

Speaking of those views, they are simply breathtaking. Cruising through the scenic waterways of Alaska, you're treated to an ever-changing panorama of rugged mountains, serene fjords, and abundant wildlife. It's a journey that feels like a vacation in itself.

I can confidently say that the Alaska Ferry Service has become my favorite mode of transportation in the region. The combination of convenience, comfort, and natural beauty makes it an unforgettable experience. I'm already looking forward to my next trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone exploring this remarkable part of the world.

the staff are always helpful and friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. They do not control the prices, which are high, but they take some of the sting of the sticker shock out.

We had a fantastic time taking the Columbia down from Juneau to Bellingham. It is not a cruise ship, so don't expect cruise ship level services. But we knew that going in. Super nice and helpful staff, well maintained ship, decent prices for the food and drink onboard. Fantastic tip if you want a less touristy Inside Passage experience.
