My wife and I stayed here over part of Memorial Day weekend. Our room was nice, if a bit small, and the bed was more firm than is my preference (but my wife very much liked the bed's firmness). My single biggest "complaint" -- as petty as this may sound -- is that the toilets are "old" ... the small "circle" kind of seat ... and I've become accustomed to the newer "oval" seats that are larger (and honestly, more comfortable). The toilet paper is typical of many hotels -- "inexpensive" -- not as bad a "cheap" ... but not "Charmin" either! However, the location is great for trips to Melbourne to visit my family there. It can be a very quiet place, depending on how many people are there -- and the front porch is a nice place to sit when the temperature and humidity are nice. Overall, Ashley House is nice, though the "Bed & Breakfast" is a bit misleading now. I miss the "old days" when this was a "bed and breakfast" place in the "homecooked" sense, though -- having cereal or a toasted (frozen) waffle or plastic-wrapped pastry just isn't the same as a cooked breakfast like eggs, gravy, and biscuits. The reservation system is great -- just call and ask if a room is available, and if it is, you're all set up! As I said, however, overall, Ashley House is nice.

We stayed in the Kate house next door to the Ashley house. We enjoyed our stay. All the beds were clean and comfortable. The space had everything we needed. Check in and out were easy and we enjoyed interacting with the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future!

My daughter and I traveled to Melbourne, AR from Benton, AR for an Easter family reunion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Ashley House B&B. It was beautifully decorated, quiet and peaceful; but we especially loved relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love this quaint bed & breakfast! So homey, clean, and the beds are very comfy. I enjoy looking at all the interesting posters, and other memorabilia. One suggestion: please designate a smoking area, preferably away from the main building. I love sitting on the front porch, but unfortunately, that is where the smokers go, which makes it very unpleasant.

This establishment is very charming. We arrived, and went in the unlocked front door. Our key was on a table, and we went down the hall to our room. Very nostalgic! We enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia posted along the hallway. The bed was so cozy, and it was very quiet. Room was spotless! Lots of hot water, and good water pressure in the shower. Free wi-fi, and a wide variety of tv programs. Was disappointed that there was only one chair in our room, and you had to be a contortionist to see the tv from there! Great coffee in the a.m., but some peeps obviously were up earlier than us retired folks, and their loud talking interrupted my slumber. Actually think it was the owner and maintenance man. Breakfast was self-serve high carb stuff, so we went to a nearby restaurant to get some protein. Recommend, and definitely will stay here again when in the area!

Very nice rooms with great decorations in the lobby and breakfast area. Nice porch with lots of seats to relax. Only slight issue is being so close to the highway, it can be a little noisy on the front porch. But the room was quiet and peaceful. Nice mattress on the bed with nice bedding.

Really a bargain for such good lodging.

We are here for the district fair and this will be our choice anytime we are staying in this area! Also a good choice if you are visiting Mountain View. Only 15 minutes away.

Have stayed here several times while helping build a new home nearby. Beautiful little historical B&B with friendly staff. Great location with grocery store and Family Dollar store right across the street. Saw deer right across street yesterday at breakfast before heading out.

This was our 2nd stay here. We visit family in the area for Christmas and, due to the large numbers of out of town guest, we find it easier to stay here. It’s charming, clean and comfortable.||Please understand, there is not an on-site manager. The owners stop by during the day, and their phone numbers are posted if you have any questions.||Breakfast is included. This is not the hot buffet type at chain hotels. This is a do-it-yourself breakfast. There are different breads, and bagels. Waffles in the freezer, milk, juice, yogurt, jelly in the fridge. Cereal, oatmeal and fresh fruit. ||We love it and look forward to visiting again!
