DO NOT STAY HERE! Especially room 316!! My partner and I had to stay here because our air went out at home and being under a heat advisory during the horrid summer, we had no choice. Chose Hampton inn thinking that it was the better choice because we once stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street and they had roaches in the room assigned. The last time I stayed at this Hampton Inn was a couple of years ago and honestly I’ve never had a problem until now. Woke up to BED BUGS in our bed and had to evacuate at 4 am because of it back to a hot and humid house! Not only that but the room was poorly cleaned with dusty, outdated, and stained appliances. The cable wasn’t working properly, but we endured because we were hot and tired and just needed to rest. And the the only thing the worker at the front desk could say was sorry about the bed bugs?! Imagine traveling all day, get home to a broken unit, and then THINKING you’re getting a decent stay somewhere just to be exposed and bitten by bed bugs!! I am FURIOUS and will never stay here again! Monticello has to do better. The two “better quality” hotels in this thriving area with such grave issues.

A standard Hampton Inn. It was well maintained. The bathroom was clean and shampoo etc. bottles were filled. The bed was relatively comfortable although the air conditioner was a little loud. Staff was efficient and friendly. No issues with this hotel.

Positive: "" Negative: The elevator wasnt working. Despite my physically disabled daughter standing right in front of him, the front desk clerk didn't bother to tell us that until we'd checked in. The hotel has not saved a first floor room for guests with mobility issues.

Don't expect a good night's sleep on the 1st floor, it's just too darn noisy with doors slamming left and right. When we came back after a night out, the breakfast area was filled with people who seemed to have forgotten their indoor voices, screaming at the top of their lungs. And to top it off, kids were running wild up and down the hallway, making it impossible to catch some shut-eye. This place is not what it seems, even though they charge a hefty $175 per night, it's basically a budget $65 hotel. The pool area is no better, with rowdy drunks making endless noise day in and day out. If you're looking for a peaceful rest, I would strongly advise against staying here. However, if you're in the mood to party all night long, then this might just be the place for you. We called to complain and NOTHING WAS DONE…yet they said they rectified the situation.

Called Hampton Inn Hotel direct to the make reservations for 2 rooms 2 nights. The call was redirected to a call center when I selected reservations, Representative for Hampton Inn took information, repeated information back with pricing, and we agreed. He then sent my confirmation to my email.
Arriving 11 hours later upon check-in, the clerk said he had no confirmation for us. But he did have 2 rooms at a much higher rate. Neither of which was handicapped or near one another. They were a floor apart.
I showed him my confirmation emails from Hampton Inn. He said he was not able to confirm the emails on his screen. I asked for a manager at this point. He made a phone call and spoke with her, NOT on speaker. Said she said the same as he told me already. I asked to speak with her. The clerk said she( the manager was off tonight). The General Manager would be in @ 8:30 pm.
I checked back with him @ 9pm said she was busy to check back in a bit. I asked for him to have her ( the General Manager) to contact me. No contact was ever made with me.
So now we are trying to work with Corporate.

Had a horrible experience. Got here around midnight after a Christmas party. Had a room booked but there was no room for us. They finally found an empty room but it was not cleaned. Had to stay in a dirty room with garbage still in the cans from the last guest & pee on the toilet. No sheets on the beds. We had to make the bed ourself and the sheets we were given smelled like they hadn’t been washed. I don’t normally do google reviews but this was terrible. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

We stayed while passing through on our way to Baton Rouge. The service was lack luster, and the rooms could use updating, but the water pressure was good.
